Face To Face

This study will be a compliment to the series on the Divine Order. There will be some review, however we will be approaching this subject from a different point of view, and will further clarify areas where there are still many questions. We will specifically be looking at scriptures dealing with seeing Elohim face to face. Our objective will be to answer the following questions:

  • Has anyone ever seen the father?
  • How is term Elohim used in scripture?
  • What is the name of the father?
  • Who are the sons of Elohim?
  • How does the father communicate with man?
  • What is the Divine Order?

The purpose of this study is to distinguish what was actually being seen in the scripture when there were encounters with the Most High. We will analyze how the unlearned reader adopted these statements in ignorance and began to promote a theology based on a lie due to their lack of understanding of the Hebraic culture and the divine order which YAH works through. One of the goals of this study is to show that we cannot turn experiences, our own perceptions or ideas into biblical doctrine as many have done.

NO ONE HAS SEEN ELOHIM AT ANY TIME. The one and only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him. (John 1:18 RNEB)

This was written in 28 AD and it’s very clear that no one has ever seen Elohim.

NOT THAT ANYONE HAS SEEN THE FATHER, except he who is from Elohim. He has seen the Father. (John 6:46 RNEB)

Re-read this verse a few times, as we continue it will become clear.

The Father himself, who sent me, has testified about me. YOU HAVE NEITHER HEARD HIS VOICE AT ANY TIME, NOR SEEN HIS FORM. (John 5:37 RNEB)
Yahshua, when he was purified, went up directly from the water: and behold, the heavens were opened to him. HE SAW THE SPIRIT OF ELOHIM DESCENDING as a dove, and coming on him. BEHOLD, A VOICE OUT OF THE HEAVENS SAID, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:16-17 RNEB)

We just read no one ever heard His voice at anytime, so even at his purification the voice coming from heaven wasn’t the voice of the father.

Here is something to consider, when Elohim said, “This is My Son, the beloved, in whom I did delight.” Was he talking about the Spirit or Yahshua? There is no way of knowing this, however Yahshua didn’t become the son of Elohim until His resurrection, before that he was Yahshua son of David. The voice could have been speaking prophetically.

While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. Behold, A VOICE CAME OUT OF THE CLOUD, SAYING, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.” (Matthew 17:5 RNEB)

Remember, Yahshua said no man has heard the voice of the Father or seen his shape. So who was speaking?

Let’s look at what the term God means, which is what most translations use instead of the term Elohim, according to Strongs concordance #0430 God is equated to Elohim with plural, plural intensive or singular meaning.

God is a Teutonic (ancient Germanic) title, which is not the term we should be partial to, because it holds the meaning of superhuman, and was used almost exclusively among the Greeks, Romans, Babylonians, and many other pagans. Primarily, because their deities were once men that died and became as the term denotes, “super human”, attaining godhood. The Father, YAH is not human in any way, and it does him dishonor to address him as such. Elohim is the proper title and can be used for rulers, judges, divine ones, angels, gods, god like one, and the one and only Almighty Elohim.

In the Hebraic culture, every leader or man who is of great authority is called Baal, Adon, Lord or Master. The title that is accredited to them by reason of their power is El or Elohim especially to those who were involved in teaching Elohim’s word, such as the Sadducees, Pharisees, Scribes and later the Rabbinical Society (Mighty One’s).

  1. Genesis 36:38 Baal-hanan – Lord Hanan
  2. Exodus 14:2 Baal-zephon – Lord Zephon
  3. Numbers 25:3 Baal-peor – Lord Peor
  4. Joshua 10:1 Adoni-zedek – Lord Zedek
  5. Judges 1:5 Adoni-bezek in Bezek – Lord Bezek
  6. Exodus 7:1 Moses Elohim (God) to Pharaoh
  7. Isaiah 9:6 Yahshua El Gibor (Mighty God)

Lets verify this for further clarity.

Elohim presides in the great assembly. He judges among the elohims. “How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked?” Selah. “Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.” They don’t know, neither do they understand. They walk back and forth in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken. I said, “YOU ARE ELOHIMS, ALL OF YOU ARE SONS OF THE MOST HIGH. Nevertheless you shall die like men, and fall like one of the rulers.” Arise, Elohim, judge the earth, for you inherit all of the nations. (Psalms 82:1-8 RNEB)

The Judges of Yisrael were being called elohim (A.K.A god).

The Hebrews answered him, “We don’t stone you for a good work, but for blasphemy: because you, being a man, make yourself Elohim.” Yahshua answered them, “ISN’T IT WRITTEN IN YOUR TORAH, ’I SAID, YOU ARE ELOHIMS?’ (John 10:33-34 RNEB)

If he called them elohim, who the word of elohim came, and the scripture cannot be broken, who did the word come to? The Hebrews, Yisrael, the Judges, the Priests, the Rulers, and the Governors were all elohim’s in Yisrael. They were men of power, elohim simply means mighty one or ones of power and authority. There is the Almighty Elohim, then there are also mighty elohim. Mighty elohim’s are the leaders of men and chief’s of the angels, however there is only one Almighty Elohim.

In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep. Elohim’s Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters. (Genesis 1:1-2 RNEB)

The spirit of Elohim moved on the face of the waters, Elohim is plural intensive, so if it’s plural were talking about more than one. Elohim is a multi plural word that represents the divine order, it’s talking about the body of the angelic hosts. When one individual comes out of a body, it is still Elohim, because that one individual represents the body. This Angel is one of power, he is either a ruler, judge, or messenger with strength, power, authority, and direction. We will confirm these things in the scripture, remember what the apostles said, no one has ever seen Elohim at anytime, and Yahshua said, you never heard his voice or seen his shape.

In the terrestrial realm, there are also elohim’s, which would be the presidents, governors, judges, priests, and anyone who is in authority and gives direction to a large body of people. This is the reason why YAH said, “I have said that you are elohim’s.” Why? YAH adopted Yisrael, remember Yahshua said “if they called them Elohim to who the word came to…” Well the word came to Yisrael, and what is ironic about this is Yisrael was adopted into the divine order, they were called the sons of Elohim. So, how can they be the sons of elohim and not be an elohim . They were elohim’s or gods because they had authority, power, and divine direction to give to others. They could discern who would receive doctrine and who wouldn’t, which in itself marks the power of an elohim.

Jacob was left alone, and wrestled with a man there until the breaking of the day. When he saw that he didn’t prevail against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was strained, as he wrestled. The man said, “Let me go, for the day breaks.” Jacob said, “I won’t let you go, unless you bless me.” He said to him, “WHAT IS YOUR NAME?” HE SAID, “JACOB.” HE SAID, “YOUR NAME WILL NO LONGER BE CALLED JACOB, BUT YISRA’EL; FOR YOU HAVE FOUGHT WITH ELOHIM AND WITH MEN, AND HAVE PREVAILED.” (Genesis 32:24-28 RNEB)

Names in the bible, when they were changed or assigned generally denoted an individuals function or purpose, Yisrael means ruler with Elohim and man.

Jacob asked him, “Please tell me your name.” He said, “Why is it that you ask what my name is?” He blessed him there. Jacob called the name of the place Peni’el: for, he said, “I HAVE SEEN ELOHIM FACE TO FACE, AND MY LIFE IS PRESERVED.” (Genesis 32:29-30 RNEB)

Can we really believe this was YAH personally wrestling with Jacob? Would YAH wrestle with a man all night and have to disjoint his hip socket to gain his freedom? I don’t think so! Perhaps the pagans god may find himself in this situation.

The children of Yisra’el again did that which was evil in the sight of YAH; and YAH delivered them into the hand of the Pelishtim forty years. There was a certain man of Tzor`ah, of the family of the Dani, whose name was Manoach; and his wife was barren, and didn’t bear. THE ANGEL OF YAH APPEARED TO THE WOMAN, and said to her, See now, you are barren, and don’t bear; but you shall conceive, and bear a son. Now therefore please beware and drink no wine nor strong drink, and don’t eat any unclean thing: for, behold, you shall conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head; for the child shall be a Nazir to Elohim from the womb: and he shall begin to save Yisra’el out of the hand of the Pelishtim. Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of Elohim came to me, and his face was like the face of the angel of Elohim, very awesome; and I didn’t ask him whence he was, neither did he tell me his name: (Judges 13:1-6 RNEB)

She said a man came to her with the appearance of an Angel, in order for her to know this or make reference to an angel they must have already had knowledge of what an angel was like within the Yisraelite community. In scripture angels are described as very hard, solemn, and no-nonsense, their presence can often be unsettling. At this point Manoach’s wife does not know it’s an angel because he appeared as a man.

but he said to me, Behold, you shall conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing; for the child shall be a Nazir to Elohim from the womb to the day of his death. Then Manoach entreated YAH, and said, Oh, Master, please let the man of Elohim whom you did send come again to us, and teach us what we shall do to the child who shall be born. Elohim listened to the voice of Manoach; and the angel of Elohim came again to the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoach, her husband, wasn’t with her. The woman made haste, and ran, and told her husband, and said to him, Behold, the man has appeared to me, who came to me the [other] day. Manoach arose, and went after his wife, and came to the man, and said to him, Are you the man who spoke to the woman? He said, I am. Manoach said, Now let your words happen: what shall be the ordering of the child, and [how] shall we do to him? The angel of YAH said to Manoach, Of all that I said to the woman let her beware. She may not eat of anything that comes of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing; all that I commanded her let her observe. Manoach said to the angel of YAH, I pray you, let us detain you, that we may make ready a kid for you. The angel of YAH said to Manoach, Though you detain me, I won’t eat of your bread; and if you will make ready a burnt offering, you must offer it to YAH. For Manoach didn’t know that he was the angel of YAH. Manoach said to the angel of YAH, What is your name, that when your words happen, we may honor you? The angel of YAH said to him, Why do you ask after my name, seeing it is wonderful? So Manoach took the kid with the meal offering, and offered it on the rock to YAH: and [the angel] did wondrously, and Manoach and his wife looked on. For it happened, when the flame went up toward the sky from off the altar, that the angel of YAH ascended in the flame of the altar: and Manoach and his wife looked on; and they fell on their faces to the ground. (Judges 13:7-20 RNEB)

Manoach is getting ready to make an offering of thanksgiving to YAH. The angels watching, then steps into the flame, and rises with it. Remember until this point they thought they were watching a man go into the flame. Then Manoach and his wife fell on their faces to the ground on account of the awesome site they had just seen.

But the angel of YAH did no more appear to Manoach or to his wife. THEN MANOACH KNEW THAT HE WAS THE ANGEL OF YAH. Manoach said to his wife, WE SHALL SURELY DIE, BECAUSE WE HAVE SEEN ELOHIM. (Judges 13:21-22 RNEB)

Manoach said he now knew this was an Angel (messenger), however right after that he said they shall certainly die because they have seen Elohim. Why did they call the angel Elohim? Probably, for the same reason Jacob after knowing he wrestled with an Angel said he seen Elohim face to face.

The angel of YAH came, and sat under the oak which was in Ofrat, that pertained to Yo’ash the Avi-Ezri: and his son Gid`on was beating out wheat in the winepress, to hide it from the Midyanim. The angel of YAH appeared to him, and said to him, YAH is with you, you mighty man of valor. Gid`on said to him, Oh, my master, if YAH is with us, why then has all this happened to us? and where are all his wondrous works which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not YAH bring us up from Egypt? but now YAH has cast us off, and delivered us into the hand of Midyan. YAH looked at him, and said, Go in this your might, and save Yisra’el from the hand of Midyan: have not I sent you? He said to him, Oh, Master, with which shall I save Yisra’el? behold, my family is the poorest in Menasheh, and I am the least in my father’s house. YAH SAID TO HIM, SURELY I WILL BE WITH YOU, AND YOU SHALL STRIKE THE MIDYANIM AS ONE MAN. (Judges 6:11-16 RNEB)
He said to him, If now I have found favor in your sight, then show me a sign that it is you who talk with me. (Judges 6:17 RNEB)

Gid’on needed a sign, so he would know this was really a messenger from YAH.

Please don’t go away, until I come to you, and bring out my present, and lay it before you. He said, I will wait until you come again. Gid`on went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an efah of meal: the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out to him under the oak, and presented it. The angel of Elohim said to him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them on this rock, and pour out the broth. He did so. Then the angel of YAH put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there went up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and the angel of YAH departed out of his sight. Gid`on saw that he was the angel of YAH; and Gid`on said, Alas, Master YAH! because I have seen the angel of YAH face to face. (Judges 6:18-22 RNEB)

Gid’on said he seen an angel face to face, which is what Manoach and Jacob saw. None of them ever saw YAH face to face.

Before continuing to the next verse we need to create the setting. Sarai tells Abraham to go into her handmade Hagar, she then has a child for Abraham, Sarai gets jealous and tells Abraham she no longer wants Hagar around and starts to treat her harshly, Hagar flees into the dessert.

The angel of YAH found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur. He said, “Hagar, Sarai’s handmaid, where did you come from? Where are you going?” She said, “I am fleeing from the face of my mistress Sarai.” The angel of YAH said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hands.” The angel of YAH said to her, “I will greatly multiply your seed, that they will not be numbered for multitude.” The angel of YAH said to her, “Behold, you are with child, and will bear a son. You shall call his name Yishma’el, because YAH has heard your affliction. He will be like a wild donkey among men. His hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him. He will live opposite all of his brothers.” She called the name of YAH who spoke to her, “YOU ARE A ELOHIM WHO SEES,” for she said, “Have I even stayed alive after seeing him?” (Genesis 16:7-13 RNEB)

The Hebrew word for “you are a Elohim who sees” is Elroy, El meaning “Elohim” and Roy meaning “see.” For she said, have I even stayed alive after seeing him. She is saying she has seen Elroy, “Elohim who sees.” This again was clearly an angel, everyone in scripture who said they had seen Elohim was actually seeing an angel.

Now Moshe was keeping the flock of Yitro, his father-in-law, the Priest of Midyan, and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to Elohim’s mountain, to Chorev. THE ANGEL OF YAH APPEARED TO HIM IN A FLAME OF FIRE OUT OF THE MIDST OF A BUSH. He looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. (Exodus 3:1-2 RNEB)

The angels natural composition is fire, remember what Sha’ul said in Hebrews, he made his angel spirits and his ministers a flame of fire. The glory of YAH is seen as a non consuming fire.

Moshe said, “I will turn aside now, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.” When YAH saw that he turned aside to see, Elohim called to him out of the midst of the bush, and said, “Moshe! Moshe!” He said, “Here I am.” He said, “DON’T COME CLOSE. TAKE YOUR SANDALS OFF OF YOUR FEET, FOR THE PLACE YOU ARE STANDING ON IS HOLY GROUND.” (Exodus 3:3-5 RNEB)

The angel told Moshe to remove his sandals because he was on Holy Ground. There are only two places in scripture where this is said.

Moreover he said, “I AM THE ELOHIM OF YOUR FATHER, THE ELOHIM OF ABRAHAM, THE ELOHIM OF ISAAC, AND THE ELOHIM OF JACOB.” Moshe hid his face; for he was afraid to look at Elohim. (Exodus 3:6 RNEB)

Remember that Elohim is a multi-plural word that represents the Divine Order and YAH himself.

YAH said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Kena`ani, the Chittite, the Amori, the Perizzi, the Chivvi, and the Yevusi. (Exodus 3:7-8 RNEB)
Moshe said to Elohim, “Behold, when I come to the children of Yisra’el, and tell them, ’The Elohim of your fathers has sent me to you;’ and they ask me, ’What is his name?’ What should I tell them?” Elohim said to Moshe, “I AM [haYAH] WHO [Asher] I AM [haYAH],” and he said, “You shall tell the children of Yisra’el this: ’I AM [haYAH] has sent me to you.’” (Exodus 3:13-14 RNEB)

“I AM” is the Hebrew word haYAH, meaning to exist, be, or become.

“WHO” is the Hebrew word Asher, which can be transalted who, which, what, or that.

The proper rendering is HaYAH Asher HaYAH as it can be clearly seen throughout the usage of the name and contextual citations, rendering the Most High’s name as YAH.

YAH, that is my name. The name revealed! “HA” or “Eh”, which precedes YAH in this text, is a definite article used to emphasize and express the solidarity and oneness of the one true Elohim. A “definite article” is a word such as “an” or “the” used with a noun to limit or give definiteness to its application, (Copyright 1997 by Merriam Webster Dictionary). Secular sources in various religious institutions also confirm the same truth:

The proper transalation of this verse should be “You shall tell the children of Yisrael this: ’YAH has sent me to you.’”

Moshe said to YAH, “Behold, you tell me, ’Bring up this people:’ and you haven’t let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you have said, ’I know you by name, and you have also found favor in my sight.’ Now therefore, if I have found favor in your sight, please show me now your ways, that I may know you, so that I may find favor in your sight: and consider that this nation is your people.” He said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” He said to him, “If your presence doesn’t go with me, don’t carry us up from here. For how would people know that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people? Isn’t it in that you go with us, so that we are separated, I and your people, from all the people who are on the surface of the earth?” YAH said to Moshe, “I will do this thing also that you have spoken; for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.” (Exodus 33:12-17 RNEB)

Moshe was asking to see YAH’s glory, his natural state.

He said, “PLEASE SHOW ME YOUR GLORY.” He said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of YAH before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.” (Exodus 33:18-19 RNEB)

We know that no one has ever heard YAH’s voice or seen his shape. So it’s an angel (In Hebrew malak) we’re about to see, not YAH. When the angel shows himself he will be acting as an agent of the Most High and will not receive any credit, the glory will always go to YAH.

He said, “YOU CANNOT SEE MY FACE, for man may not see me and live.” (Exodus 33:20 RNEB)

In other words, if you see me in my natural state the penalty is death.

YAH also said, “Behold, there is a place by me, and you shall stand on the rock. It will happen, while my glory passes by, that I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and will cover you with my hand until I have passed by; then I will take away my hand, and YOU WILL SEE MY BACK; BUT MY FACE SHALL NOT BE SEEN.” (Exodus 33:21-23 RNEB)
He chiseled two tablets of stone like the first; and Moshe rose up early in the morning, and went up to Mount Sinai, as YAH had commanded him, and took in his hand two stone tablets. YAH descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of YAH. YAH passed by before him, and proclaimed, “YAH! YAH, a merciful and gracious Elohim, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth, keeping loving kindness for thousands, forgiving lawlessness and disobedience and sin; and that will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the lawlessness of the fathers on the children, and on the children’s children, on the third and on the fourth generation.” Moshe hurried and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped. (Exodus 34:4-8 RNEB)
Moshe took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, “Look, this is the blood of the covenant, which YAH has made with you concerning all these words.” Then Moshe, Aharon, Nadav, Avihu, and seventy of the elders of Yisra’el went up. THEY SAW THE ELOHIM OF YISRA’EL. Under his feet was like a paved work of sappir stone, like the skies for clearness. (Exodus 24:8-10 RNEB)

They saw under his feet because he was in the air.

He didn’t lay his hand on the nobles of the children of Yisra’el. THEY SAW ELOHIM, AND ATE AND DRANK. (Exodus 24:11 RNEB)

They as the others claim to have seen Elohim, however we know this isn’t the father because no one has seen him or heard his voice. Everything below Elohim the father is an angel.

YAH said to Moshe, “Come up to me on the mountain, and stay here, and I will give you the tables of stone with the law and the commands that I have written, that you may teach them.” Moshe rose up with Yahoshua, his servant, and Moshe went up onto Elohim’s Mountain. (Exodus 24:12-13 RNEB)

Moshe is going up to the mountain of Elohim to receive the commandments on two tablets of stones. However, it also says “with the law and the commands which I have written.”

He said to the elders, “Wait here for us, until we come again to you. Behold, Aharon and Chur are with you. Whoever is involved in a dispute can go to them.” Moshe went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain. The glory of YAH settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. THE SEVENTH DAY HE CALLED TO MOSHE OUT OF THE MIDST OF THE CLOUD. The appearance of the glory of YAH was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Yisra’el. Moshe entered into the midst of the cloud, and went up on the mountain; and Moshe WAS ON THE MOUNTAIN FORTY DAYS AND FORTY NIGHTS. (Exodus 24:14-18 RNEB)

Moshe was on the mountain 40 days and nights receiving commandments, laws, statutes, ordinances, and what took place at the beginning of creation.

We see YAH on the mount who gave the laws and commandments. Let’s verify who was actually doing this.

Which of the prophets didn’t your fathers persecute? They killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, of whom you have now become betrayers and murderers. YOU RECEIVED THE TORAH AS IT WAS ORDAINED BY ANGELS, and didn’t keep it!” (Acts 7:52-53 RNEB)

It was an angel that gave the commandments on Mount Sinai, not YAH himself, he doesn’t leave his temple in heaven. We cannot break the scripture, so any understanding we gain must agree with the entire word of Elohim, not just one or two isolated verses.

The Apostles knew, because they studied, read, and had very good teachers, this is the reason they could be so bold in saying that no one has seen the father or heard his voice. The ten commandments were YAH’s, however he was not the one on the mountain giving them to Moshe.

Therefore we ought to pay greater attention to the things that were heard, lest perhaps we drift away. FOR IF THE WORD SPOKEN THROUGH ANGELS PROVED STEADFAST, AND EVERY TRANSGRESSION AND DISOBEDIENCE RECEIVED A JUST RECOMPENSE; how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation–which at the first having been spoken through YAH, was confirmed to us by those who heard; (Hebrews 2:1-3 RNEB)

The Angel on the mountain had already told Moshe to remove his sandals and make sure everyone, including the animals, maintained a specific distance from the mountain. This must have been a high ranking angel (malak) that was assigned to give the commandments and work on Yisrael’s behalf.

I will make mention of the loving kindnesses of YAH, [and] the praises of YAH, according to all that YAH has bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Yisra’el, which he has bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses. For he said, Surely, they are my people, children who will not deal falsely: so he was their Savior. In all their affliction he was afflicted, AND THE ANGEL OF HIS PRESENCE SAVED THEM: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bore them, and carried them all the days of old. (Isaiah 63:7-9 RNEB)

The messenger of his presence saved them – This is talking about Yisrael, they were the ones afflicted, but the angel of their presence saved them. In the angels love and compassion, he redeemed them.

But they rebelled, and grieved his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, [and] himself fought against them. (Isaiah 63:10 RNEB)

Here is something to consider, after they rebelled and grieved the spirit he turned against them. This spirit that was once helping them was now an enemy working against them. Have you been guilty of vexing a Spirit (angel) assigned to help you?

In the year that king `Uzziyah died, I SAW YAH SITTING ON A THRONE, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple. Above him stood the serafim. Each one had six wings. With two he covered his face. With two he covered his feet. With two he flew. One called to another, and said, “Holy, holy, holy, is YAH of Armies! The whole earth is full of his glory!” The foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. Then I said, “Woe is me! For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: FOR MY EYES HAVE SEEN THE KING, YAH OF ARMIES!” (Isaiah 6:1-5 RNEB)

We know from Yahshua and the apostles that no one has every seen YAH or heard his voice.

THEN ONE OF THE SERAFIM FLEW TO ME, HAVING A LIVE COAL IN HIS HAND, WHICH HE HAD TAKEN WITH THE TONGS FROM OFF THE ALTAR. HE TOUCHED MY MOUTH WITH IT, AND SAID, “BEHOLD, THIS HAS TOUCHED YOUR LIPS; and your lawlessness is taken away, and your sin forgiven.” I heard YAH’s voice, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am. Send me!” He said, “Go, and tell this people, ’You hear indeed, but don’t understand; and you see indeed, but don’t perceive.’ Make the heart of this people fat. MAKE THEIR EARS HEAVY, AND SHUT THEIR EYES; LEST THEY SEE WITH THEIR EYES, AND HEAR WITH THEIR EARS, AND UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART, AND TURN AGAIN, AND BE HEALED.” (Isaiah 6:6-10 RNEB)

In other words, if we walk in his law, by keeping his commandments, precepts, and statutes it will be as health to our bones.

Now it happened in the thirtieth year, in the fourth [month], in the fifth [day] of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Kevar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of Elohim. In the fifth [day] of the month, which was the fifth year of king Yehoiakim’s captivity, the word of YAH came expressly to Ezekiel the Priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Kasdim by the river Kevar; and the hand of YAH was there on him. I looked, and behold, a stormy wind came out of the north, a great cloud, with flashing lightning, and a brightness round about it, and out of the midst of it as it were glowing metal, out of the midst of the fire. Out of the midst of it came the likeness of four living creatures. This was their appearance: they had the likeness of a man. (Ezekiel 1:1-5 RNEB)
When they went, I heard the noise of their wings like the noise of great waters, like the voice of the Almighty, a noise of tumult like the noise of an army: when they stood, they let down their wings. There was a voice above the expanse that was over their heads: when they stood, they let down their wings. Above the expanse that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sappir stone; and on the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man on it above. I saw as it were glowing metal, as the appearance of fire within it round about, from the appearance of his waist and upward; and from the appearance of his waist and downward I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and there was brightness round about him. As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of YAH. When I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of one that spoke. (Ezekiel 1:24-28 RNEB)

From the beginning it has always been an angel operating as an agent sent by YAH. It was an Angel walking in the garden, It was an Angel who made the heavens and the earth, all by the divine direction of the Almighty Father. All angels proceeded forth from the Father, and whatever they do, or whatever they have done, or will do is by the permission and direction of the Father.

The messenger who went to call Mikhayahu spoke to him, saying, See now, the words of the prophets [declare] good to the king with one mouth: please let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak you good. Mikhayahu said, As YAH lives, what YAH says to me, that will I speak. When he was come to the king, the king said to him, Mikhayahu, shall we go to Ramot Gil`ad to battle, or shall we forbear? He answered him, Go up and prosper; and YAH will deliver it into the hand of the king. The king said to him, How many times shall I adjure you that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of YAH? He said, I saw all Yisra’el scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and YAH said, These have no master; let them return every man to his house in peace. The king of Yisra’el said to Yehoshafat, Didn’t I tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil? [Mikhayahu] said, “Therefore hear the word of YAH: I SAW YAH SITTING ON HIS THRONE, AND ALL THE ARMY OF HEAVEN STANDING BY HIM ON HIS RIGHT HAND AND ON HIS LEFT. YAH said, ’Who shall entice Ach’av, that he may go up and fall at Ramot Gil`ad?’ One said on this manner; and another said on that manner. There came forth a spirit, and stood before YAH, and said, ’I will entice him.’ (1 Kings 22:13-21 RNEB)
“BEHOLD, I SEND AN ANGEL BEFORE YOU, TO KEEP YOU BY THE WAY, AND TO BRING YOU INTO THE PLACE WHICH I HAVE PREPARED. PAY ATTENTION TO HIM, AND LISTEN TO HIS VOICE. Don’t provoke him, for he will not pardon your disobedience, for my name is in him. But if you indeed listen to his voice, and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries. FOR MY ANGEL SHALL GO BEFORE YOU, and bring you in to the Amori, the Chittite, the Perizzi, the Kena`ani, the Chivvi, and the Yevusi; and I will cut them off. (Exodus 23:20-23 RNEB)

There are seven archangels, which are the seven Spirits represented by the seven lamp stands in Revelation. These are the seven generals that govern over the hosts of heaven, and remember what Gavri’el one of the seven Spirits said, Mikha’el is the chief prince. So, here we have an example of an angel speaking about sending another angel to perform a specific task.

Another example of angels commanding over angels would be Helel, the chief fallen angel who rules over other fallen angels, known as demons. So, we can see even on the unholy side there is a hierarchal command structure.

Eliyahu took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and struck the waters, and they were divided here and there, so that they two went over on dry ground. It happened, when they had gone over, that Eliyahu said to Elisha, Ask what I shall do for you, before I am taken from you. Elisha said, please let a double portion of your spirit be on me. He said, You have asked a hard thing: [nevertheless], if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so to you; but if not, it shall not be so. It happened, as they still went on, and talked, that behold, [there appeared] a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, which parted them both apart; and Eliyahu went up by a whirlwind into heaven. Elisha saw it, and he cried, MY FATHER, MY FATHER, THE CHARIOTS OF YISRA’EL AND THE HORSEMEN OF IT! He saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and tore them in two pieces. (2 Kings 2:8-12 RNEB)

The chariot of Yisrael and its horsemen – When did Yisrael ever have a chariot that flew in the clouds? Yisrael means ruler with Elohim and men, this was Yisrael’s chariot, which is most likely referencing the archangel that was given authority of the nation of Yisrael.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was an Elohim. The same was in the beginning with Elohim. (John 1:1-2 RNEB)
searching for who or what kind of time THE SPIRIT OF THE ANOINTED, WHICH WAS IN THEM, POINTED TO, WHEN HE PREDICTED THE SUFFERINGS OF THE ANOINTED, and the glories that would follow them. (1 Peter 1:11 RNEB)

The Spirit is giving testimony because man doesn’t know what to say. It was the Spirit (an angel) bearing witness before the sufferings of the anointed.

To them it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to you, they ministered these things, which now have been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you BY THE HOLY SPIRIT SENT OUT FROM HEAVEN; which things angels desire to look into. (1 Peter 1:12 RNEB)
and to make all men see what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been HIDDEN IN ELOHIM, WHO CREATED ALL THINGS, (Ephesians 3:9 RNEB)

Elohim reveals both to man and angels, this is the reason Sha’ul says the angels desire to look into the matters of men. They want to know the events happening to man. Elohim only releases this information to those who need to know, so they can warn the people giving them time to get prepared.

Some versions will say through Yahshua the anointed or Jesus Christ, the pagans added it to justify Jesus as a deity. This is not in earlier versions of the original text. The same thing was done with 1 John 5:7 which was entirely added to justify a trinity, again it is not in earlier translations. Lets read what it says in the KJV:

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. (1 John 5:7 KJV)

This is completely erroneous, and you may want to make a note in your bible about the errors. Some bible versions have already added notes concerning the validity of these verses.

If you love me, keep my commandments. I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever,– the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive; for it doesn’t see him, neither knows him. You know him, FOR HE LIVES WITH YOU, AND WILL BE IN YOU. (John 14:15-17 RNEB)
But the Counselor, THE HOLY SPIRIT, WHOM THE FATHER WILL SEND IN MY NAME, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you. (John 14:26 RNEB)
“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all THE HOLY ANGELS with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. (Matthew 25:31 RNEB)
he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of Elohim, which is prepared unmixed in the cup of his anger. He will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of THE HOLY ANGELS, and in the presence of the Lamb. (Revelation 14:10 RNEB)
Don’t throw me from your presence, and don’t take YOUR HOLY SPIRIT FROM ME. (Psalms 51:11 RNEB)
For these things I weep; my eye, my eye runs down with water; BECAUSE THE COMFORTER WHO SHOULD REFRESH MY SOUL IS FAR FROM ME: My children are desolate, because the enemy has prevailed. (Lamentations 1:16 RNEB)

The comforter left, that’s why he is far from him. This Spirit left so an invasion could occur and be successful from Nevukhadnetzar.

In these verses and the ones that follow, we should see that the Holy Spirit, Holy Angel, Holy Messenger, Comforter, Counselor, Helper, and Spirit of Truth are all the same Spirit, just with different titles being used.

“When THE COUNSELOR has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me. (John 15:26 RNEB)
“I have yet many things to tell you, but you can’t bear them now. However when he, the SPIRIT OF TRUTH, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; BUT WHATEVER HE HEARS, HE WILL SPEAK. HE WILL DECLARE TO YOU THINGS THAT ARE COMING. (John 16:12-13 RNEB)
for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have BELIEVED THAT I CAME FORTH FROM ELOHIM. I CAME OUT FROM THE FATHER, AND HAVE COME INTO THE WORLD. Again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.” (John 16:27-28 RNEB)

Yahshua said he came forth from Elohim, but how so? Was it Yahshua this verse was referring to, or the Spirit that was dwelling in him?

Yochanan testified, saying, “I HAVE SEEN THE SPIRIT DESCENDING like a dove OUT OF HEAVEN, AND IT REMAINED ON HIM. I didn’t recognize him, but he who sent me to immerse in water, he said to me, ’On whomever you will see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he who immerses in the Holy Spirit.’ I have seen, and have testified that this is the Son of Elohim.” Again, the next day, Yochanan was standing with two of his disciples, and he looked at Yahshua as he walked, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of Elohim!” (John 1:32-36 RNEB)

The Spirit is what came down from heaven and dwelled in the Anointed for 3 1/2 years. Until this time Yahshua never did a miracle or claimed any type of power or divinity. With all the people Yochanan purified, Yahshua was the only one that received the Spirit.

Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness. As it is written, ’He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.’” Yahshua therefore said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, it wasn’t Moshe who gave you the bread out of heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread out of heaven. For the bread of Elohim is that which COMES DOWN OUT OF HEAVEN, and gives life to the world.” They said therefore to him, “Master, always give us this bread.” Yahshua said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will not be hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. (John 6:31-35 RNEB)
For I have come down from heaven, NOT TO DO MY OWN WILL, BUT THE WILL OF HIM WHO SENT ME. (John 6:38 RNEB)

When the Spirit of truth comes, he is not going to give testimony or speak of himself, only what he hears from the father.

Him who sent me – YAH has always sent angels to fulfill his will, so who is speaking and taking action through Yahshua?

The Hebrews therefore murmured concerning him, because he said, “I AM THE BREAD WHICH CAME DOWN OUT OF HEAVEN.” They said, “Isn’t this Yahshua, the son of Yosef, whose father and mother we know? How then does he say, ’I have come down out of heaven?’” (John 6:41-42 RNEB)

Which came down from heaven – This wouldn’t have made sense to those listening, they knew as we do that Yahshua was born through a woman. However, we know that an angel came down from heaven at Yahshuas purification and was the bread being spoken of in this verse.

I AM THE LIVING BREAD WHICH CAME DOWN OUT OF HEAVEN. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. Yes, the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.” (John 6:51 RNEB)
The Hebrews therefore said, “Will he kill himself, that he says, ’Where I am going, you can’t come?’” He said to them, “YOU ARE FROM BENEATH. I AM FROM ABOVE. YOU ARE OF THIS WORLD. I AM NOT OF THIS WORLD. (John 8:22-23 RNEB)

This can be confusing because Yahshua the son of David comes from a terrestrial body, born of a woman, which makes him from below, not from above. However, we see in more than one verse, he is talking about being from above. This would make no sense to those listening to him, unless they were present at his purification by Yochanan when the Spirit came on him from above.

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day. He saw it, and was glad.” The Hebrews therefore said to him, “YOU ARE NOT YET FIFTY YEARS OLD, AND HAVE YOU SEEN ABRAHAM?” Yahshua said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, BEFORE ABRAHAM CAME INTO EXISTENCE, I AM.” Therefore they took up stones to throw at him, but Yahshua was hidden, and went out of the temple, having gone through the midst of them, and so passed by. (John 8:56-59 RNEB)

It appears Yahshua was claiming divinity, so they wanted to stone him. Let’s look at something similar to see if that’s what he was doing.

He said, “Don’t come close. Take your sandals off of your feet, for the place you are standing on is holy ground.” Moreover he said, “I AM THE ELOHIM OF YOUR FATHER, THE ELOHIM OF ABRAHAM, THE ELOHIM OF ISAAC, and the Elohim of Jacob.” Moshe hid his face; for he was afraid to look at Elohim. (Exodus 3:5-6 RNEB)

It was an Angel that appeared to Moshe and claimed “I AM The Elohim of …”

Elohim said to Moshe, “I AM [haYAH] WHO [Asher] I AM [haYAH],” and he said, “You shall tell the children of Yisra’el this: ’I AM [haYAH] has sent me to you.’” (Exodus 3:14 RNEB)

This is what the angel said in the bush, I AM YAH. Pay close attention now as we look back at John 8:58.

Yahshua said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM.” (John 8:58 RNEB)

This was the same Angel that was in the burning bush, gave the commandments on Sinai, and picked up the body of Elijah. This angels name is Yisrael, which means ruler with Elohim and man.

This is he who came by water and blood, Yahshua the Anointed; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. IT IS THE SPIRIT WHO TESTIFIES, because the Spirit is the truth. (1 John 5:6 RNEB)

It was Yahshua that came by water and blood, because that’s the composition of man. Look what it says next, “It is the Spirit who testifies, because the spirit is the truth.”

  • When did Yahshua receive the spirit? At his purification.
  • When did he start ministering about the restoration and redemption of Yisrael and the true service of YAH? After his purification.
  • Who was ministering? It’s the Spirit that testifies, and the Spirit is the truth.

Didn’t Yahshua say to the Apostles that they would receive the Spirit of truth, and he would dwell in them and be with them? Yahshua also had the Spirit of truth, however he had one of the highest ranking angels in the divine order dwelling in him. Furthermore, this did not occur until after he was cleansed (purified).

For there are three who testify: THE SPIRIT, THE WATER, AND THE BLOOD; and the three agree as one. (1 John 5:7-8 RNEB)

The Spirit is an angel, water and blood represent man, and these three are in agreement. They are one in unity as it relates to their agreed purpose or mandate, however the spirit and man are separate entities. It’s important that we look at the composition of man the way John is using it, the spirit here does not represent the breath of life, which in Hebrew would be neshmat, ruach (air) which travels through the blood to give man life as an earthen vessel. The Spirit (an angel), Water and Blood (man) bare witness of the Father.

What we’re trying to convey is Elohim represents the divine order, and any angelic creature that proceeds forth from the divine order is Elohim, which represents the body of Elohim. This is how the ancients identified them.

For to us a child is born. To us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful, COUNSELOR, MIGHTY ELOHIM, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6 RNEB)

Notice it says Mighty Elohim and not Almighty Elohim. There is a difference, there is only one Almighty Elohim, where Mighty Elohim represents the divine order. Many use this verse to try to establish that Yahshua is the Father, trying to make him divine, which can cause a great deal of confusion. This often happens because very few people understand the difference between addressing Almighty El and the rest of the Divine Order. In this scripture Mighty Elohim means he will be ruler of the rulers of this earth. Let’s look at another verse for verification.

He has on his garment and on his thigh a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND MASTER OF MASTERS.” (Revelation 19:16 RNEB)

From these two verses we can see he’s actually the ruler and judge of all rulers and judges on the face of the earth. Yahshua’s authority is limited to the earth, he cannot usurp the Fathers throne.

For to us a child is born. To us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty Elohim, EVERLASTING FATHER, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6 RNEB)

Everlasting Father in Hebrew is “ad” Strongs #5703 “awb” Strongs #1, or Father of eternity, in other words, eternal life comes through him. This simply suggests that we have eternal life through this great wonderful counselor.

Therefore YAH himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin will conceive, and bear a son, and shall call HIS NAME IMMANU’EL. (Isaiah 7:14 RNEB)

Immanuel means Elohim is with us. Who descended at Yahshua’s purification and dwelled in his body? An angel (malak), which is an Elohim and is clearly identified as one in scripture. What we have is Elohim which dwelt among men for 3 1/2 years, remember the glory left the temple in Ezekiel’s time, but we have Elohim descending from heaven again, dwelling in a perfect temple made without hands, which was the body of Yahshua who walked among men for 3 1/2 years and taught sound doctrine. For a better understanding of the name Immanuel review the study Immanuel, Elohim With Us.

For the grace of Elohim has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to the intent that, denying unobedience and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and reverently in this present age; looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory OF OUR GREAT ELOHIM and Savior, Yahshua the Anointed; (Titus 2:11-13 RNEB)

Our Great Elohim – Yahshua was called, “the Mighty Elohim,” through his blood, he became the propitiation for our iniquity, opening the door to eternal life.

For since death came by man, the resurrection of the dead also came by man. For as in Adam all die, so also in the Anointed all will be made alive. (1 Corinthians 15:21-22 RNEB)
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. But when this corruptible will have put on incorruption, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “Death, where is your sting? grave, where is your victory?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to Elohim, WHO GIVES US THE VICTORY THROUGH OUR MASTER YAHSHUA THE ANOINTED. (1 Corinthians 15:53-57 RNEB)

Yahshua gave us the victory, he’s the Father of eternity, which is why Isaiah prophesied him as the everlasting father. Yahshua opened the door for us to receive eternal life. To try to deitize Yahshua by making him the heavenly Father, the Almighty Elohim, would not be based on a proper understanding of scripture in the light of the Hebrew culture.

But in those sacrifices there is yearly reminder of sins. (Hebrews 10:3 RNEB)
FOR IF THE WORD SPOKEN THROUGH ANGELS proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense; how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation–which at the first having been spoken through the Master, was confirmed to us by those who heard; (Hebrews 2:2-3 RNEB)

It’s important we understand the process, the angels descended from heaven and gave the instructions, YAH’s code of ethics to man, through one specific nation of people, Yisrael. This is the reason why Sha’ul told us in the book of Hebrews that the laws were given by the direction of angels, he said the word was spoken through angels, who received it from the Father.

Lets review the process, the angels received YAH’s word, will, and direction and they in turn gave it to Yisrael, then it was the nation of Yisrael’s responsibility to learn and apply what they had been given and teach others. This is the reason we see angels involved in every aspect of the ecclesiastical development of Yisrael as a theocracy and nation. No one has ever heard or seen the Father, it has always been an Angel, the Malachem acting as his ambassadors.

For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins. Therefore when he comes into the world, he says, “Sacrifice and offering you didn’t desire, BUT YOU PREPARED A BODY FOR ME; (Hebrews 10:4-5 RNEB)

What was the body that was prepared? YAH had a perfect vessel, that was purified and cleansed, when the time came, he took possession of the body and worked in it for 3 1/2 years, at the end he tells us who dwelt within the vessel, it was the same angel that was on Mount Sinai, called Yisrael.
