Immanuel, Elohim With Us I

The purpose of this study is to answer questions concerning the prophetic name of the coming Messiah. If the prophecies state the coming Messiah shall be called Immanuel then why was he named Yahshua as instructed by the angel Gavriel and prophesied in the book of Zechariah. We will look at the scriptures to see if there is something more to the name Immanuel and also cover the following:

  • The Building of the tabernacle and its significance
  • The presence of YAH in the tabernacle
  • Shlomo’s reason for building the first temple.
  • The absense of the spirit from the temple, when and why?
  • The birth and purification of Yahshua.
  • The Return of the spirit, when, where, and why?
  • The purpose of Yahshua’s presence.
  • What does Immanuel mean?
  • Yahshua’s prophetic association with Immanuel.

We will also address why YAH has given sanctification laws for his sanctuary. These are the laws that set us apart from people, the tabernacle, and different things within the world system.

This will be a two part study with a strong foundation established in the law and the prophets in order to provide a proper understanding of the topic.

    Now Moshe was keeping the flock of Yitro, his father-in-law, the Priest of Midyan, and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to Elohim’s mountain, to Chorev. THE ANGEL OF YAH APPEARED TO HIM IN A FLAME OF FIRE out of the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. Moshe said, “I will turn aside now, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.” (Exodus 3:1-3 RNEB)

Moshe seen an angel in a flame of fire, the angels natural composition is fire.

    When YAH saw that he turned aside to see, Elohim called to him out of the midst of the bush, and said, “Moshe! Moshe!” He said, “Here I am.” He said, “Don’t come close. Take your sandals off of your feet, for the place you are standing on is holy ground.” (Exodus 3:4-5 RNEB)

There is only two places in scripture where man is told to remove his sandals because he’s standing on holy ground, and this is the first.

    MOREOVER HE SAID, “I am the Elohim of your father, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Jacob.” Moshe hid his face; for he was afraid to look at Elohim. YAH said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Kena`ani, the Chittite, the Amori, the Perizzi, the Chivvi, and the Yevusi. (Exodus 3:6-8 RNEB)

The angel is the one still speaking, he’s acting as an agent of YAH.

We know that the affliction began when the decree came from pharaoh to destroy all the males in Yisrael. Moshe was saved from this and spent forty years as an Egyptian prince, then after fleeing to Median he spent forty years as a sheep herder. This gives us eighty years of documented affliction that’s taken place in Egypt. This is important because it shows that the children of Yisrael have been praying for two generations for deliverance. The Most High will always do things in his time, according to a well laid out plan, that’s prepared very strategically and methodically.

The things that are important to remember: Angel of YAH, standing on holy ground, and the angel says he’s the Elohim [power] of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

    They took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Yisra’el came to the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt. THE WHOLE CONGREGATION OF THE CHILDREN OF YISRA’EL MURMURED AGAINST MOSHE and against Aharon in the wilderness; and the children of Yisra’el said to them, “We wish that we had died by the hand of YAH in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots, when we ate our fill of bread, for you have brought us out into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.” (Exodus 16:1-3 RNEB)

They spent eighty years praying and petitioning the Most High to deliver them from the Hamites [children of Ham] for their methods and manners of affliction, so YAH raised a Messiah named Moshe who delivered them out of Egypt, however because they didn’t have the amenities and benefits they had in Egypt they began to complain.

    Then said YAH to Moshe, “Behold, I will rain bread from the sky for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, THAT I MAY TEST THEM, whether they will walk in my law, or not. (Exodus 16:4 RNEB)

Many of the things that YAH does will come with a test to see if we our worthy, and will keep his law.

    It shall come to pass on the sixth day, that they shall prepare that which they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.” (Exodus 16:5 RNEB)

They needed to gather twice as much on the sixth day because they could not go out on the Sabbath, the seventh day, it was a laborious act to gather, clean, and prepare manna.

    Moshe and Aharon said to all the children of Yisra’el, “At evening, then you shall know that YAH has brought you out from the land of Egypt; and in the morning, then you shall see the glory of YAH; BECAUSE HE HEARS YOUR MURMURINGS AGAINST YAH. Who are we, that you murmur against us?” Moshe said, “Now YAH shall give you meat to eat in the evening, and in the morning bread to satisfy you; because YAH hears your murmurings which you murmur against him. And who are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against YAH.” (Exodus 16:6-8 RNEB)

The people didn’t understand that it was not Moshe they were murmuring against, but the Most High. It was the angel that heard the murmurings against YAH.

    Moshe said to Aharon, “Tell all the congregation of the children of Yisra’el, ’Come near before YAH, for he has heard your murmurings.’” It happened, as Aharon spoke to the whole congregation of the children of Yisra’el, that they looked toward the wilderness, and behold, THE GLORY OF YAH APPEARED IN THE CLOUD. (Exodus 16:9-10 RNEB)

We have the glory of Elohim in a cloud, just as we had the angel in the burning bush. The glory of Elohim was the angel, a holy spirit.

    Moshe went up to Elohim, and YAH called to him out of the mountain, saying, “This is what you shall tell the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Yisra’el: ’You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to myself. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice, and keep my covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine; and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Yisra’el.” Moshe came and called for the elders of the people, and set before them all these words which YAH commanded him. All the people answered together, and said, “All that YAH has spoken we will do.” Moshe reported the words of the people to YAH. YAH said to Moshe, “Behold, I come to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and may also believe you forever.” Moshe told the words of the people to YAH. YAH said to Moshe, “Go to the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments, and be ready against the third day; for on the third day YAH will come down in the sight of all the people on Mount Sinai. You shall set bounds to the people round about, saying, ’Be careful that you don’t go up onto the mountain, or touch its border. WHOEVER TOUCHES THE MOUNTAIN SHALL BE SURELY PUT TO DEATH. (Exodus 19:3-12 RNEB)

They were not allowed to touch this huge mountain when YAH came down on it, in fear of death. The Most High is holy and something unclean cannot come into his presence. This is a misunderstood area since most people don’t know what it means to be holy, because it’s not being taught in most religious bodies.

    No hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned or shot through; whether it is animal or man, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet sounds long, they shall come up to the mountain.” Moshe went down from the mountain to the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes. He said to the people, “Be ready by the third day. Don’t have sexual relations with a woman.” (Exodus 19:13-15 RNEB)

The people were commanded to make a presentation of themselves after the third day, they had to clean themselves, and abstain from sexual relations with their spouses.

    It happened on the third day, when it was morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain, and the sound of an exceedingly loud trumpet; and all the people who were in the camp trembled. (Exodus 19:16 RNEB)

Over two million people in the wilderness could hear this trumpet, that’s how loud it was.

    Moshe led the people out of the camp to meet Elohim; and they stood at the lower part of the mountain. Mount Sinai, the whole of it, smoked, because YAH descended on it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly. When the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moshe spoke, and Elohim answered him by a voice. YAH came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. YAH called Moshe to the top of the mountain, and Moshe went up. YAH said to Moshe, “Go down, charge the people, lest they break through to YAH to gaze, and many of them perish. Let the priests also, who come near to YAH, sanctify themselves, lest YAH break forth on them.” Moshe said to YAH, “The people can’t come up to Mount Sinai, for you charged us, saying, ’Set bounds around the mountain, and sanctify it.’” YAH said to him, “Go down and you shall bring Aharon up with you, but don’t let the priests and the people break through to come up to YAH, lest he break forth on them.” So Moshe went down to the people, and told them. (Exodus 19:17-25 RNEB)
    YAH spoke to Moshe, saying, “Speak to the children of Yisra’el, that they take an offering for me. From everyone whose heart makes him willing you shall take my offering. This is the offering which you shall take from them: gold, silver, brass, blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats’ hair, rams’ skins dyed red, sea cow hides, shittim wood, oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense, shoham stones, and stones to be set for the efod and for the breastplate. LET THEM MAKE ME A SANCTUARY, that I may dwell among them. (Exodus 25:1-8 RNEB)

The term Sanctuary is mik-dawsh in the Hebrew which is different from the full tabernacle which is mish-kawn in Hebrew, which means the tabernacle in full. The Sanctuary was a separate chamber inside the tabernacle.


    According to all that I show you, the pattern of the tent, and the pattern of all of its furniture, even so you shall make it. “They shall make a ark of shittim wood. Its length shall be two and a half cubits, its breadth a cubit and a half, and a cubit and a half its height. You shall overlay it with pure gold. Inside and outside shall you overlay it, and shall make a gold molding around it. (Exodus 25:9-11 RNEB)

The Most High commanded Moshe to tell the sons of Yisrael to come up and make an offering to acquire the supplies needed to make the tabernacle. After the tabernacle and sanctuary were made, then YAH asks them to make the ark of the testimony.

    You shall cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in its four feet. Two rings shall be on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it. You shall make poles of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold. You shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry the ark. The poles shall be in the rings of the ark. They shall not be taken from it. You shall put the testimony which I shall give you into the ark. You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold. Two and a half cubits shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth. (Exodus 25:12-17 RNEB)

The mercy seat (Hebrew kapporeth) was the lid, the covering seat, designed as a throne that covered the ark of the testimony in the Sanctuary of the Tabernacle.

    You shall make two Keruvim of hammered gold. You shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat. Make one Keruv at the one end, and one Keruv at the other end. You shall make the Keruvim on its two ends of one piece with the mercy seat. The Keruvim shall spread out their wings upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward one another. The faces of the Keruvim shall be toward the mercy seat. You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I will give you. THERE I WILL MEET WITH YOU, AND I WILL TELL YOU FROM ABOVE THE MERCY SEAT, FROM BETWEEN THE TWO KERUVIM WHICH ARE ON THE ARK OF THE TESTIMONY, all that I command you for the children of Yisra’el. (Exodus 25:18-22 RNEB)

The Most Highs throne was made and is now inside the tabernacle in the holy of holies.

    It shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tent of meeting before YAH, where I will meet with you, to speak there to you. There I will meet with the children of Yisra’el; AND THE PLACE SHALL BE SANCTIFIED BY MY GLORY. I will sanctify the tent of meeting and the altar: Aharon also and his sons I will sanctify, to minister to me in the Priest’s office. I will dwell among the children of Yisra’el, and will be their Elohim. (Exodus 29:42-45 RNEB)
    YAH spoke to Moshe, after the death of the two sons of Aharon, when they drew near before YAH, and died; and YAH said to Moshe, “Tell Aharon your brother, not to come at all times into the Most Holy Place within the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark; lest he die: for I will appear in the cloud on the mercy seat. (Leviticus 16:1-2 RNEB)

The deaths of Aaron’s sons was the result of not following instructions. Their intentions may have been good, however it wasn’t done within the guidelines Elohim set forth. There are a lot of good intentions today but most of them are outside Elohim’s instructions, also called his law.

After they setup the tabernacle the sons of Aaron were sanctified, establishing the Levitical priesthood.

    YAH spoke to Moshe, saying, “On the first day of the first month you shall raise up the tent of the Tent of Meeting. You shall put the ark of the testimony in it, and you shall screen the ark with the veil. You shall bring in the table, and set in order the things that are on it. You shall bring in the menorah, and light the lamps of it. You shall set the golden altar for incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the screen of the door to the tent. You shall set the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tent of the tent of meeting. You shall set the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar, and shall put water therein. You shall set up the court around it, and hang up the screen of the gate of the court. You shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tent, and all that is in it, and shall make it holy, and all its furniture: and it will be holy. You shall anoint the altar of burnt offering, with all its vessels, and sanctify the altar: and the altar will be most holy. You shall anoint the basin and its base, and sanctify it. You shall bring Aharon and his sons to the door of the tent of meeting, and shall wash them with water. You shall put on Aharon the holy garments; and you shall anoint him, and sanctify him, that he may minister to me in the Priest’s office. You shall bring his sons, and put coats on them. You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to me in the Priest’s office. Their anointing shall be to them for an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.” Moshe did so. According to all that YAH commanded him, so he did. It happened in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tent was raised up. Moshe raised up the tent, and laid its sockets, and set up the boards of it, and put in the bars of it, and raised up its pillars. He spread the covering over the tent, and put the roof of the tent above on it, as YAH commanded Moshe. He took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat above on the ark. He brought the ark into the tent, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the testimony, as YAH commanded Moshe. He put the table in the tent of meeting, on the side of the tent northward, outside of the veil. He set the bread in order on it before YAH, as YAH commanded Moshe. He put the menorah in the tent of meeting, opposite the table, on the side of the tent southward. He lit the lamps before YAH, as YAH commanded Moshe. He put the golden altar in the tent of meeting before the veil; and he burnt incense of sweet spices on it, as YAH commanded Moshe. He put up the screen of the door to the tent. He set the altar of burnt offering at the door of the tent of the tent of meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, as YAH commanded Moshe. He set the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water therein, with which to wash. Moshe, Aharon, and his sons washed their hands and their feet there. When they went into the tent of meeting, and when they came near to the altar, they washed, as YAH commanded Moshe. He raised up the court around the tent and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moshe finished the work. Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of YAH filled the tent. Moshe wasn’t able to enter into the tent of meeting, because the cloud stayed on it, and YAH’s glory filled the tent. When the cloud was taken up from over the tent, the children of Yisra’el went onward, throughout all their journeys; but if the cloud wasn’t taken up, then they didn’t travel until the day that it was taken up. FOR THE CLOUD OF YAH WAS ON THE TENT BY DAY, AND THERE WAS FIRE IN THE CLOUD BY NIGHT, in the sight of all the house of Yisra’el, throughout all their journeys. (Exodus 40:1-38 RNEB)

    On the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the Tent of the Testimony: and at evening it was over the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until morning. So it was continually. The cloud covered it, and the appearance of fire by night. Whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Tent, then after that the children of Yisra’el traveled; and in the place where the cloud remained, there the children of Yisra’el encamped. At the commandment of YAH, the children of Yisra’el traveled, and at the commandment of YAH they encamped. As long as the cloud remained on the tabernacle they remained encamped. When the cloud stayed on the tabernacle many days, then the children of Yisra’el kept the charge of YAH, and didn’t travel. Sometimes the cloud was a few days on the tabernacle; then according to the commandment of YAH they remained encamped, and according to the commandment of YAH they traveled. Sometimes the cloud was from evening until morning; and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they traveled: or by day and by night, when the cloud was taken up, they traveled. Whether it was two days, or a month, or a year that the cloud stayed on the tabernacle, remaining on it, the children of Yisra’el remained encamped, and didn’t travel; but when it was taken up, they traveled. (Numbers 9:15-22 RNEB)

We’re still laying down a foundation so that when we get to the prophecy concerning Immanuel it will be easier to understand. The Most Highs instructions for sanctification are a very important element.

    He said to Moshe, “Come up to YAH, you, and Aharon, Nadav, and Avihu, and seventy of the elders of Yisra’el; and worship from a distance. Moshe alone shall come near to YAH, but they shall not come near, neither shall the people go up with him.” Moshe came and told the people all the words of YAH, and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice, and said, “All the words which YAH has spoken will we do.” Moshe wrote all the words of YAH, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar under the mountain, and twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Yisra’el. He sent young men of the children of Yisra’el, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen to YAH. Moshe took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. He took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people, and they said, “All that YAH has spoken will we do, and be obedient.” Moshe took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, “Look, this is the blood of the covenant, which YAH has made with you concerning all these words.” Then Moshe, Aharon, Nadav, Avihu, and seventy of the elders of Yisra’el went up. They saw the Elohim of Yisra’el. Under his feet was like a paved work of sappir stone, like the skies for clearness. He didn’t lay his hand on the nobles of the children of Yisra’el. They saw Elohim, and ate and drank. YAH said to Moshe, “Come up to me on the mountain, and stay here, and I WILL GIVE YOU THE TABLES OF STONE WITH THE LAW AND THE COMMANDS THAT I HAVE WRITTEN, THAT YOU MAY TEACH THEM.” (Exodus 24:1-12 RNEB)

Elohim gave Moshe the law so that it can be taught to the people.

    Moshe rose up with Yahoshua, his servant, and Moshe went up onto Elohim’s Mountain. He said to the elders, “Wait here for us, until we come again to you. Behold, Aharon and Chur are with you. Whoever is involved in a dispute can go to them.” Moshe went up on the mountain, and THE CLOUD COVERED THE MOUNTAIN. THE GLORY OF YAH SETTLED ON MOUNT SINAI, AND THE CLOUD COVERED IT SIX DAYS. THE SEVENTH DAY HE CALLED TO MOSHE OUT OF THE MIDST OF THE CLOUD. (Exodus 24:13-16 RNEB)

The seventh day has always been set apart in scripture, we see many things occurring throughout scripture on the seventh day. It’s important we understand the relevance and important’s of this day to YAH.

    The appearance of the glory of YAH was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Yisra’el. Moshe entered into the midst of the cloud, and went up on the mountain; and Moshe was on the mountain forty days and forty nights. (Exodus 24:17-18 RNEB)

When Moshe came down from the mount after forty days he finds Yisrael partying, they made themselves a golden calf, in anger Moshe breaks the tablets, and several thousand people die for their transgression of idolatry.

    YAH said to Moshe, “Chisel two stone tablets like the first: and I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke. Be ready by the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to me on the top of the mountain. (Exodus 34:1-2 RNEB)

Moshe was commanded to present himself before the Most High, just as we are commanded to present ourselves before him on his Holy Sabbaths. Moshe never considered saying no, we should have the same attitude in presenting ourselves and showing reverence on his holy days.

    No one shall come up with you; neither let anyone be seen throughout all the mountain; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mountain.” He chiseled two tablets of stone like the first; and Moshe rose up early in the morning, and went up to Mount Sinai, as YAH had commanded him, and took in his hand two stone tablets. YAH DESCENDED IN THE CLOUD, AND STOOD WITH HIM THERE, AND PROCLAIMED THE NAME OF YAH. (Exodus 34:3-5 RNEB)

We have seen the law given to Moshe on stone tablets, the tablets broken, a new set being given, and now lets see who gave them the law.

    “You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit! As your fathers did, so you do. Which of the prophets didn’t your fathers persecute? They killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, of whom you have now become betrayers and murderers. YOU RECEIVED THE TORAH AS IT WAS ORDAINED BY ANGELS, and didn’t keep it!” (Acts 7:51-53 RNEB)

The law was given by the direction of angels, it was an angel in the bush, in the cloud seen by day, and in the pillar of fire at night.

    YAH went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them on their way, and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light, that they might go by day and by night: the pillar of cloud by day, and the pillar of fire by night, didn’t depart from before the people. (Exodus 13:21-22 RNEB)

Let’s further establish whose doing this.

    THE ANGEL OF ELOHIM, WHO WENT BEFORE THE CAMP OF YISRA’EL, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them, and stood behind them. (Exodus 14:19 RNEB)

Again we see it was an angel.

    You shall not defile the land which you inhabit, in the midst of which I dwell: for I, YAH, dwell in the midst of the children of Yisra’el. (Numbers 35:34 RNEB)

It’s not actually YAH that’s dwelling in Yisrael, but an angel acting as his ambassador. Yisrael was known as YAH’s house and one of his concerns was that Yisrael would defile his house with idols of other elohims, and from their history we know they ended up doing this repeatedly.

    These are the statutes and the ordinances which you shall observe to do in the land which YAH, the Elohim of your fathers, has given you to possess it, all the days that you live on the earth. You shall surely destroy all the places in which the nations that you shall dispossess served their elohims, on the high mountains, and on the hills, and under every green tree: and you shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and burn their Asherim with fire; and you shall cut down the engraved images of their elohims; and you shall destroy their name out of that place. You shall not do so to YAH your Elohim. But to the place which YAH your Elohim shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, even to his habitation shall you seek, and there you shall come; and there you shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the wave offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock: and there you shall eat before YAH your Elohim, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, in which YAH your Elohim has blessed you. You shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatever is right in his own eyes; FOR YOU HAVEN’T YET COME TO THE REST AND TO THE INHERITANCE, WHICH YAH YOUR ELOHIM GIVES YOU. (Deuteronomy 12:1-9 RNEB)

The promised land was called the rest, a place where they would receive peace, comfort, and security.

    But when you go over the Yarden, and dwell in the land which YAH your Elohim causes you to inherit, and he gives you rest from all your enemies round about, so that you dwell in safety; then it shall happen that to the place which YAH your Elohim shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, there shall you bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the wave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to YAH. You shall rejoice before YAH your Elohim, you, and your sons, and your daughters, and your male servants, and your female servants, and the Levite who is within your gates, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you. TAKE HEED TO YOURSELF THAT YOU DON’T OFFER YOUR BURNT OFFERINGS IN EVERY PLACE THAT YOU SEE; (Deuteronomy 12:10-13 RNEB)

The offerings had to be made where Elohim directed, they could not be presented just anywhere.

    but in the place which YAH shall choose in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you. Notwithstanding, you may kill and eat flesh within all your gates, after all the desire of your soul, according to the blessing of YAH your Elohim which he has given you: the unclean and the clean may eat of it, as of the gazelle, and as of the hart. Only you shall not eat the blood; you shall pour it out on the earth as water. You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain, or of your new wine, or of your oil, or the firstborn of your herd or of your flock, nor any of your vows which you vow, nor your freewill offerings, nor the wave offering of your hand; but you shall eat them before YAH your Elohim in the place which YAH your Elohim shall choose, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates: and you shall rejoice before YAH your Elohim in all that you put your hand to. Take heed to yourself that you don’t forsake the Levite as long as you live in your land. When YAH your Elohim shall enlarge your border, as he has promised you, and you shall say, I will eat flesh, because your soul desires to eat flesh; you may eat flesh, after all the desire of your soul. If the place which YAH your Elohim shall choose, to put his name there, be too far from you, then you shall kill of your herd and of your flock, which YAH has given you, as I have commanded you; and you may eat within your gates, after all the desire of your soul. Even as the gazelle and as the hart is eaten, so you shall eat of it: the unclean and the clean may eat of it alike. Only be sure that you don’t eat the blood: for the blood is the life; and you shall not eat the life with the flesh. You shall not eat it; you shall pour it out on the earth as water. You shall not eat it; that it may go well with you, and with your children after you, when you shall do that which is right in the eyes of YAH. Only your holy things which you have, and your vows, you shall take, and go to the place which YAH shall choose: and you shall offer your burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, on the altar of YAH your Elohim; and the blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out on the altar of YAH your Elohim; and you shall eat the flesh. Observe and hear all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you, and with your children after you forever, when you do that which is good and right in the eyes of YAH your Elohim.     It happened in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Yisra’el were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Shlomo’s reign over Yisra’el, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of YAH. The house which king Shlomo built for YAH, the length of it was sixty cubits, and the breadth of it twenty [cubits], and the height of it thirty cubits. The porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length of it, according to the breadth of the house; [and] ten cubits was the breadth of it before the house. For the house he made windows of fixed lattice work. Against the wall of the house he built stories round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle; and he made side chambers round about. The nethermost story was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad; for on the outside he made offsets [in the wall] of the house round about, that [the beams] should not have hold in the walls of the house. The house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready at the quarry; and there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building. The door for the middle side chambers was in the right side of the house: and they went up by winding stairs into the middle [story], and out of the middle into the third. So he built the house, and finished it; and he covered the house with beams and planks of cedar. He built the stories against all the house, each five cubits high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar. The word of YAH came to Shlomo, saying, Concerning this house which you are building, if you will walk in my statutes, and execute my ordinances, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father. I will dwell among the children of Yisra’el, and will not forsake my people Yisra’el. So Shlomo built the house, and finished it. (1 Kings 6:1-14 RNEB)

We know that Shlomo built the temple, he also took 700 wives and 300 concubines, which he built high places for so they can serve there gods, to make them more comfortable. He did just the opposite of what YAH commanded him to do. Remember YAH said IF you shall walk in my statutes and follow my commandments. We can’t serve him the way we think is right, there is only one way that is acceptable, and that’s the way he mandated. If we’re not following his commandments we are walking unrighteously, and he won’t even hear our prayers.

    He built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar: from the floor of the house to the walls of the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood; and he covered the floor of the house with boards of fir. He built twenty cubits on the hinder part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the walls [of the ceiling]: he built [them] for it within, for an oracle, even for the most holy place. The house, that is, the temple before [the oracle], was forty cubits [long]. There was cedar on the house within, carved with buds and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen. He prepared an oracle in the midst of the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of YAH. Within the oracle was [a space of] twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height of it; and he overlaid it with pure gold: and he covered the altar with cedar. So Shlomo overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he drew chains of gold across before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold. The whole house he overlaid with gold, until all the house was finished: also the whole altar that belonged to the oracle he overlaid with gold. In the oracle he made two Keruvim of olive wood, each ten cubits high. Five cubits was the one wing of the Keruv, and five cubits the other wing of the Keruv: from the uttermost part of the one wing to the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits. The other Keruv was ten cubits: both the Keruvim were of one measure and one form. The height of the one Keruv was ten cubits, and so was it of the other Keruv. He set the Keruvim within the inner house; and the wings of the Keruvim were stretched forth, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other Keruv touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house. He overlaid the Keruvim with gold. He carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of Keruvim and palm trees and open flowers, inside and outside. The floor of the house he overlaid with gold, inside and outside. For the entrance of the oracle he made doors of olive wood: the lintel [and] door posts were a fifth part [of the wall]. So [he made] two doors of olive wood; and he carved on them carvings of Keruvim and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold; and he spread the gold on the Keruvim, and on the palm trees. So also made he for the entrance of the temple door posts of olive wood, out of a fourth part [of the wall]; and two doors of fir wood: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding. He carved [thereon] Keruvim and palm trees and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold fitted on the engraved work. He built the inner court with three courses of hewn stone, and a course of cedar beams. In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of YAH laid, in the month Ziv. In the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts of it, and according to all the fashion of it. SO WAS HE SEVEN YEARS IN BUILDING IT.     He made the molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and the height of it was five cubits; and a line of thirty cubits compassed it round about. Under the brim of it round about there were buds which did compass it, for ten cubits, compassing the sea round about: the buds were in two rows, cast when it was cast. It stood on twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east; and the sea was set on them above, and all their hinder parts were inward. It was a handbreadth thick: and the brim of it was worked like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily: it held two thousand baths. He made the ten bases of brass; four cubits was the length of one base, and four cubits the breadth of it, and three cubits the height of it. The work of the bases was on this manner: they had panels; and there were panels between the ledges; and on the panels that were between the ledges were lions, oxen, and Keruvim; and on the ledges there was a pedestal above; and beneath the lions and oxen were wreaths of hanging work. Every base had four bronze wheels, and axles of brass; and the four feet of it had supports: beneath the basin were the supports molten, with wreaths at the side of each. The mouth of it within the capital and above was a cubit: and the mouth of it was round after the work of a pedestal, a cubit and a half; and also on the mouth of it were engravings, and their panels were foursquare, not round. The four wheels were underneath the panels; and the axles of the wheels were in the base: and the height of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit. The work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel: their axles, and their rims, and their spokes, and their naves, were all molten. There were four supports at the four corners of each base: the supports of it were of the base itself. In the top of the base was there a round compass half a cubit high; and on the top of the base the stays of it and the panels of it were of the same. On the plates of the stays of it, and on the panels of it, he engraved Keruvim, lions, and palm trees, according to the space of each, with wreaths round about. After this manner he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one form. He made ten basins of brass: one basin contained forty baths; and every basin was four cubits; and on very one of the ten bases one basin. He set the bases, five on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward, toward the south. Chiram made the basins, and the shovels, and the basins. So Chiram made an end of doing all the work that he worked for king Shlomo in the house of YAH: the two pillars, and the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars; and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars; and the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks; two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the pillars; and the ten bases, and the ten basins on the bases; and the one sea, and the twelve oxen under the sea; and the pots, and the shovels, and the basins: even all these vessels, which Chiram made for king Shlomo, in the house of YAH, were of burnished brass. In the plain of the Yarden did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Sukkot and Tzaretan. Shlomo left all the vessels [unweighed], because they were exceeding many: the weight of the brass could not be found out. Shlomo made all the vessels that were in the house of YAH: the golden altar, and the table whereupon the show bread was, of gold; and the menorot, five on the right side, and five on the left, before the oracle, of pure gold; and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold; and the cups, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the fire pans, of pure gold; and the hinges, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, [to wit], of the temple, of gold. Thus all the work that king Shlomo worked in the house of YAH was finished. Shlomo brought in the things which David his father had dedicated, [even] the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, and put them in the treasuries of the house of YAH. (1 Kings 7:23-51 RNEB)
    Then Shlomo assembled the elders of Yisra’el, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ [houses] of the children of Yisra’el, to king Shlomo in Yerushalayim, to bring up the ark of the covenant of YAH out of the city of David, which is Tziyon. All the men of Yisra’el assembled themselves to king Shlomo at the feast, in the month Etanim, which is the seventh month. All the elders of Yisra’el came, and the priests took up the ark. (1 Kings 8:1-3 RNEB)

The temple has been completed, so now they needed to bring in the throne (Ark of the Covenant). This was all being done for the purpose of communing with the spirit of Elohim.

    They brought up the ark of YAH, and the tent of meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the Tent; even these did the priests and the Levites bring up. King Shlomo and all the congregation of Yisra’el, who were assembled to him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be counted nor numbered for multitude. (1 Kings 8:4-5 RNEB)

They were having a large feast, we know this because they were sacrificing. Whenever there was a convocation or dedication it was called sacrificing, the only sacrifice that required an animal to be completely burnt up on the alter was the sin offering. This gathering was not only to dedicate the temple, but they were also moving the throne inside.

    The priests brought in the ark of the covenant of YAH to its place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the Keruvim. For the Keruvim spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the Keruvim covered the ark and the poles of it above. The poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the holy place before the oracle; but they were not seen outside: and there they are to this day. There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone which Moshe put there at Chorev, when YAH made a covenant with the children of Yisra’el, when they came out of the land of Egypt. IT CAME TO PASS, WHEN THE PRIESTS WERE COME OUT OF THE HOLY PLACE, THAT THE CLOUD FILLED THE HOUSE OF YAH, so that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud; FOR THE GLORY OF YAH FILLED THE HOUSE OF YAH. (1 Kings 8:6-11 RNEB)

We’ve seen the same cloud fill the house when they finished the first tabernacle. This was a sign that Elohim was pleased with what they had built. King David wanted to build this temple but YAH would not let him because he was a man of war, his son Shlomo was a king during a time of peace, and his name meant peace.

    Then spoke Shlomo, YAH has said that he would dwell in the thick darkness. I have surely built you a house of habitation, A PLACE FOR YOU TO DWELL IN FOREVER. (1 Kings 8:12-13 RNEB)

Watch what happens in the conversation between the Most High and Shlomo.

    Now when Shlomo had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of YAH filled the house. The priests could not enter into the house of YAH, because the glory of YAH filled YAH’s house. All the children of Yisra’el looked on, when the fire came down, and the glory of YAH was on the house; and they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped, and gave thanks to YAH, [saying], For he is good; for his loving kindness endures for ever. (2 Chronicles 7:1-3 RNEB)
    YAH appeared to Shlomo by night, and said to him, I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place to myself FOR A HOUSE OF SACRIFICE. (2 Chronicles 7:12 RNEB)

Yahshua was also known as the house of sacrifice, and why this is important will become clear by the end of the study.

    If I shut up the sky so that there is no rain, or if I command the arbeh to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; IF MY PEOPLE, WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME, SHALL HUMBLE THEMSELVES, AND PRAY, AND SEEK MY FACE, AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS; I WILL HEAR FROM HEAVEN, AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN, AND WILL HEAL THEIR LAND. (2 Chronicles 7:13-14 RNEB)

Elohim is speaking and says “I will hear from heaven,” YAH never leaves heaven, we need to realize this is an angel that is operating as an agent of YAH, he gets his direction from the Most High in heaven. The angels name here is Yisrael, we know this because it says “if my people that are called by my name.” There are other accounts of this malak (angel) in scripture, and for an exhaustive study on the subject you can read the articles on the Divine Order.

    It happened, when Shlomo had finished the building of the house of YAH, and the king’s house, and all Shlomo’s desire which he was pleased to do, that YAH appeared to Shlomo the second time, as he had appeared to him at Giv`on. YAH said to him, I have heard your prayer and your supplication, that you have made before me: I have made this house holy, which you have built, to put my name there forever; and my eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually. As for you, if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep my statutes and my ordinances; then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Yisra’el forever, according as I promised to David your father, saying, There shall not fail you a man on the throne of Yisra’el. BUT IF YOU SHALL TURN AWAY FROM FOLLOWING ME, YOU OR YOUR CHILDREN, AND NOT KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS AND MY STATUTES WHICH I HAVE SET BEFORE YOU, BUT SHALL GO AND SERVE OTHER ELOHIMS, AND WORSHIP THEM; (1 Kings 9:1-6 RNEB)

We know Shlomo eventually went and served other elohims to appease his many wives, lets see what the consequences would be.

    THEN WILL I CUT OFF YISRA’EL OUT OF THE LAND WHICH I HAVE GIVEN THEM; and this house, which I have made holy for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and YISRA’EL SHALL BE A PROVERB AND A BYWORD AMONG ALL PEOPLES. Though this house is so high, yet shall everyone who passes by it be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why has YAH done thus to this land, and to this house? and they shall answer, Because they forsook YAH their Elohim, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, AND LAID HOLD ON OTHER ELOHIMS, AND WORSHIPED THEM, AND SERVED THEM: THEREFORE HAS YAH BROUGHT ALL THIS EVIL ON THEM. (1 Kings 9:7-9 RNEB)

YAH judged there iniquity and eventually removed his glory from the temple and he completely cut off Yisrael. This same form of disobedience is happening today every time someone celebrates Christmas, Easter, Sunday Sabbath, and many other traditions dictated by man that show worship to other elohims. We can’t just decide ourselves what will please the Most High, he has given us very strict guidelines that we must follow to be seen as righteous and clean before him.

    I will make mention of the loving kindnesses of YAH, [and] the praises of YAH, according to all that YAH has bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Yisra’el, which he has bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses. (Isaiah 63:7 RNEB)

When Yisrael said it was hungry YAH gave them manna, bread from heaven. Then Yisrael said they were not satisfied and asked for meat, and YAH gave them quail, when they needed water YAH gave them water. Isaiah is telling us about the love, kindness, and mercy of YAH that he has exhibited to his people.

    For he said, Surely, they are my people, children who will not deal falsely: so he was their Savior. IN ALL THEIR AFFLICTION HE WAS AFFLICTED, AND THE ANGEL OF HIS PRESENCE SAVED THEM: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bore them, and carried them all the days of old. (Isaiah 63:8-9 RNEB)

Just like a man knows when his wife is hurting and goes through it with her, Elohim knew when they were hurting, he knew there affliction, and sent the angel of his presence to save them.

    But they rebelled, and grieved his holy Spirit: THEREFORE HE WAS TURNED TO BE THEIR ENEMY, [and] himself fought against them. (Isaiah 63:10 RNEB)

A holy spirit is an obedient angel and an unholy spirit is a fallen disobedient angel. YAH’s angel became Yisrael’s enemy because of there disobedience.

    Then he remembered the days of old, Moshe [and] his people, [saying], Where is he who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? where is he who put his holy Spirit in the midst of them? who caused his glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moshe? who divided the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name? who led them through the depths, as a horse in the wilderness, so that they didn’t stumble? As the livestock that go down into the valley, the Spirit of YAH caused them to rest; so did you lead your people, to make yourself a glorious name. Look down from heaven, and see from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory: where are your zeal and your mighty acts? the yearning of your heart and your compassion is restrained toward me. For you are our Father, though Abraham doesn’t know us, and Yisra’el does not acknowledge us: you, YAH, are our Father; our Redeemer from everlasting is your name. O YAH, why do you make us to err from your ways, and harden our heart from your fear? Return for your servants’ sake, the tribes of your inheritance. Your holy people possessed [it] but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down your sanctuary. We are become as they over whom you never bear rule, AS THOSE WHO WERE NOT CALLED BY YOUR NAME. (Isaiah 63:11-19 RNEB)

YAH told them that because of their disobedience he would trodden down the sanctuary and remove them from the land.

    How the city sits solitary, that was full of people! She has become as a widow, who was great among the nations! She who was a princess among the provinces is become tributary! She weeps sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks; among all her lovers she has none to comfort her: All her friends have dealt treacherously with her; they are become her enemies. Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude; she dwells among the nations, she finds no rest: all her persecutors overtook her within the straits. The ways of Tziyon do mourn, because none come to the solemn assembly; all her gates are desolate, her priests do sigh: her virgins are afflicted, and she herself is in bitterness. Her adversaries are become the head, her enemies prosper; for YAH has afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her young children are gone into captivity before the adversary. From the daughter of Tziyon all her majesty is departed: her princes are become like harts that find no pasture, they are gone without strength before the pursuer. Yerushalayim remembers in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her pleasant things that were from the days of old: when her people fell into the hand of the adversary, and none did help her, The adversaries saw her, they did mock at her desolations. Yerushalayim has grievously sinned; therefore she is become as an unclean thing; all who honored her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yes, she sighs, and turns backward. Her filthiness was in her skirts; she didn’t remember her latter end; therefore is she come down wonderfully; SHE HAS NO COMFORTER: see, YAH, my affliction; for the enemy has magnified himself. (Lamentations 1:1-9 RNEB)

The comforter is nothing knew, it’s an angel. In the new testament Yahshua told his disciples he would send them a comforter, he was speaking to them alone, and referring to an angel or holy spirit. It’s always important we keep things in context.

    How has YAH covered the daughter of Tziyon with a cloud in his anger! He has cast down from heaven to the earth the beauty of Yisra’el, And hasn’t remembered his footstool in the day of his anger. YAH has swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and has not pitied: He has thrown down in his wrath the strongholds of the daughter of Judah; He has brought them down to the ground; he has profaned the kingdom and the princes of it. He has cut off in fierce anger all the horn [strength] of Yisra’el; He has drawn back his right hand from before the enemy: He has burned up Jacob like a flaming fire, which devours round about. He has bent his bow like an enemy, he has stood with his right hand as an adversary, Has killed all that were pleasant to the eye: In the tent of the daughter of Tziyon he has poured out his wrath like fire. YAH IS BECOME AS AN ENEMY, he has swallowed up Yisra’el; He has swallowed up all her palaces, he has destroyed his strongholds; He has multiplied in the daughter of Judah mourning and lamentation. (Lamentations 2:1-5 RNEB)

YAH became there enemy, it says in scripture they grieved his holy spirit [an angel] and he turned on them.

    He has violently taken away his tent, as if it were of a garden; he has destroyed his place of assembly: YAH has caused solemn assembly and Sabbath to be forgotten in Tziyon, Has despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the Priest. YAH has cast off his altar, he has abhorred his sanctuary; He has given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces: They have made a noise in the house of YAH, as in the day of a solemn assembly. YAH has purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Tziyon; He has stretched out the line, he has not withdrawn his hand from destroying; He has made the rampart and wall to lament; they languish together. Her gates are sunk into the ground; he has destroyed and broken her bars: Her king and her princes are among the nations where the law is not; Yes, her prophets find no vision from YAH. The elders of the daughter of Tziyon sit on the ground, they keep silence; They have cast up dust on their heads; they have girded themselves with sackcloth: The virgins of Yerushalayim hang down their heads to the ground. My eyes do fail with tears, my heart is troubled; My liver is poured on the earth, because of the destruction of the daughter of my people, Because the young children and the infants swoon in the streets of the city. They tell their mothers, Where is grain and wine? When they swoon as the wounded in the streets of the city, When their soul is poured out into their mothers’ bosom. What shall I testify to you? what shall I liken to you, daughter of Yerushalayim? What shall I compare to you, that I may comfort you, virgin daughter of Tziyon? For your breach is great like the sea: who can heal you? Your prophets have seen for you false and foolish visions; They have not uncovered your lawlessness, to bring back your captivity, But have seen for you false oracles and causes of banishment. All that pass by clap their hands at you; They hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Yerushalayim, [saying], Is this the city that men called The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth? All your enemies have opened their mouth wide against you; They hiss and gnash the teeth; they say, We have swallowed her up; Certainly this is the day that we looked for; we have found, we have seen it. YAH has done that which he purposed; he has fulfilled his word that he commanded in the days of old; He has thrown down, and has not pitied: He has caused the enemy to rejoice over you; he has exalted the horn of your adversaries. Their heart cried to YAH: wall of the daughter of Tziyon, let tears run down like a river day and night; Give yourself no respite; don’t let the apple of your eye cease. Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches; Pour out your heart like water before the face of YAH: Lift up your hands toward him for the life of your young children, that faint for hunger at the head of every street. Look, YAH, and see to whom you have done thus! Shall the women eat their fruit, the children that are dandled in the hands? Shall the Priest and the prophet be killed in the sanctuary of YAH? The youth and the old man lie on the ground in the streets; My virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword: You have killed them in the day of your anger; you have slaughtered, [and] not pitied. You have called, as in the day of a solemn assembly, my terrors on every side; There was none that escaped or remained in the day of YAH’s anger: Those that I have dandled and brought up has my enemy consumed. (Lamentations 2:6-22 RNEB)
    For these things I weep; my eye, my eye runs down with water; Because the comforter who should refresh my soul is far from me: MY CHILDREN ARE DESOLATE, because the enemy has prevailed. (Lamentations 1:16 RNEB)
    Then I looked, and see, in the expanse that was over the head of the Keruvim there appeared above them as it were a sappir stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne. He spoke to the man clothed in linen, and said, Go in between the whirling [wheels], even under the Keruv, and fill both your hands with coals of fire from between the Keruvim, and scatter them over the city. He went in as I watched. Now the Keruvim stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court. The glory of YAH mounted up from the Keruv, [and stood] over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of YAH’s glory. The sound of the wings of the Keruvim was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of El Shaddai when he speaks. It came to pass, when he commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, Take fire from between the whirling wheels, from between the Keruvim, that he went in, and stood beside a wheel. (Ezekiel 10:1-6 RNEB)
    It happened, when I prophesied, that Pelatyah the son of Benayah died. Then fell I down on my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Master YAH! will you make a full end of the remnant of Yisra’el? The word of YAH came to me, saying, Son of man, your brothers, even your brothers, the men of your relatives, and all the house of Yisra’el, all of them, [are they] to whom the inhabitants of Yerushalayim have said, Get you far from YAH; to us is this land given for a possession. Therefore say, Thus says YAH Elohim: Whereas I have removed them far off among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, YET WILL I BE TO THEM A LITTLE SANCTUARY IN THE COUNTRIES WHERE THEY HAVE GONE. (Ezekiel 11:13-16 RNEB)
    Therefore say, Thus says YAH Elohim: I will gather you from the peoples, and assemble you out of the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you Eretz-Yisra’el. They shall come there, and they shall take away all the detestable things of it and all the abominations of it from there. I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh; that they may walk in my statutes, and keep my ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their Elohim. But as for them whose heart walks after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will bring their way on their own heads, says YAH Elohim. Then did the Keruvim lift up their wings, and the wheels were beside them; and the glory of the Elohim of Yisra’el was over them above. The glory of YAH went up from the midst of the city, and stood on the mountain which is on the east side of the city. The Spirit lifted me up, and brought me in the vision by the Spirit of Elohim into Kasdim, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me. Then I spoke to them of the captivity all the things that YAH had shown me. (Ezekiel 11:17-25 RNEB)

The spirit has left the temple, this was written around 594 BC.

    YAH spoke again to Achaz, saying, “Ask a sign of YAH your Elohim; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.” But Achaz said, “I will not ask, neither will I tempt YAH.” He said, “Listen now, house of David: Is it not enough for you to try the patience of men, that you will try the patience of my Elohim also? Therefore YAH himself will give you a sign. BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN WILL CONCEIVE, AND BEAR A SON, AND SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANU’EL. (Isaiah 7:10-14 RNEB)

Immanuel means Elohim is with us, remember what Jeremiah said in lamentations, the comforter is gone, he left. Ezekiel also seen the glory of Elohim leaving the temple and he lamented over his glory being gone.

This prophecy by Isaiah is saying the spirit or comforter would return. All names in scripture are given by way of purpose and function. The meaning of the name actually helps explain the message and undertaking.

For example:

  • YAH’s name means to exist
  • Yahshua’s name means YAH saves.
  • Yochanan’s name means YAH is gracious.

YAH showed grace to the children of Yisrael by sending Yochanan to pave the way for Yahshua, which would bring salvation.

We will see that Immanuel, meaning elohim with us, represents the comforter, an angel [holy spirit] sent to dwell within Yahshua at his purification by Yochanan.

    For to us a child is born. To us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty Elohim, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, on the throne of David, and on his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from that time on, even forever. The zeal of YAH of Armies will perform this. (Isaiah 9:6-7 RNEB)
    YAH of Armies is who you must regard as holy. He is the one you must fear. He is the one you must dread. HE WILL BE A SANCTUARY, BUT FOR BOTH HOUSES OF YISRA’EL, HE WILL BE A TRAP AND A SNARE FOR THE INHABITANTS OF YERUSHALAYIM. Many will stumble over it, fall, be broken, be snared, and be captured.” Wrap up the testimony. SEAL THE LAW AMONG MY DISCIPLES. (Isaiah 8:13-16 RNEB)

Remember earlier we talked about the house of sacrifice, and now we see Yahshua will be a sanctuary, or dwelling place.

    Now it happened, when all the people were purified, Yahshua also had been purified, and was praying. The sky was opened, and THE HOLY SPIRIT DESCENDED IN A BODILY FORM AS A DOVE ON HIM; and a voice came out of the sky, saying “You are my beloved Son. In you I am well pleased.” (Luke 3:21-22 RNEB)

The holy spirit left them in 600 BC because Yisrael rebelled and vexed him. Now we see the holy spirit descending out of heaven. The spirit of elohim was the one that was in the burning bush, the one that led them out of Egypt, the one that gave the law to Moshe, and said I shall proclaim the name of YAH. Now we see him descending out of heaven and taken possession of a body that was prophesied to be a sanctuary and rock of offense, a stumbling stone.

    Yahshua, when he was purified, went up directly from the water: and behold, the heavens were opened to him. HE SAW THE SPIRIT OF ELOHIM DESCENDING AS A DOVE, AND COMING ON HIM. BEHOLD, A VOICE OUT OF THE HEAVENS SAID, “THIS IS MY BELOVED SON, WITH WHOM I AM WELL PLEASED.” (Matthew 3:16-17 RNEB)

Elohim is with us.

    The next day, he saw Yahshua coming to him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of Elohim, who takes away the sin of the world! This is he of whom I said, ’After me comes a man who is preferred before me, for he was before me.’ I didn’t know him, but for this reason I came immersing in water: that he would be revealed to Yisra’el.” Yochanan testified, saying, “I have seen the Spirit descending like a dove out of heaven, AND IT REMAINED ON HIM. (John 1:29-32 RNEB)

The spirit occupied Yahshua, as a sanctuary, just as the spirit abode in the sanctuary in the tabernacle of old.

    I didn’t recognize him, but he who sent me to immerse in water, he said to me, ’On whomever YOU WILL SEE THE SPIRIT DESCENDING, AND REMAINING ON HIM, the same is he who immerses in the Holy Spirit.’ I have seen, and have testified that this is the Son of Elohim.” (John 1:33-34 RNEB)
