Rapture: Fact or Fantasy?

History of The Rapture Theory

The following information is to provide an overview of the history of the rapture and the different teachings surrounding it in the Christian Church.
Etymology

The word "rapture" comes from the Latin verb rapere which means "to carry off, abduct, seize or take forcefully" (compare rape). It was used in the Latin Vulgate (about 405 A.D.) translation of 1 Thessalonians 4:17, which is the primary biblical reference to the event in question, rapiemur "we shall be caught up" translating the original harpagesometha (passive mood, future tense of harpazo).

History

The earliest known extra-biblical reference to the rapture is from a sermon attributed to a fourth century Byzantine, Ephraem of Nisibis, in which he is quoted as saying, "For all the saints and Elect of God are gathered, prior to the tribulation that is to come, and are taken to the Lord lest they see the confusion that is to overwhelm the world because of our sins."

Although the doctrine of the Resurrection of the dead — as said to be taught by Jesus — was common to all Christians and part of the Nicene Creed, little attention was paid to the area of eschatology later known as 'Rapture' until the Protestant Reformation, aside from this ancient reference; thus the Christian denominations that have beliefs concerning a rapture are mostly those that appeared after the Reformation.

The later popularization of the term is associated with teaching of John Nelson Darby and the rise of premillennialism and dispensationalism in the United States at the end of the 19th century. The doctrine of the rapture was further popularized by an evangelist named William Eugene Blackstone, whose book "Jesus is Coming" sold more than one million copies, and then by its inclusion in the Scofield Reference Bible.

Among Christians who do believe in a Rapture, there is substantial debate about the timing of the rapture relative to the seven-year Tribulation. Critics of a "Pre-Tribulation" Rapture, the belief that the Rapture will occur prior to the Tribulation, often attribute that doctrine to a 15-year old Scottish- Irish girl named Margaret MacDonald (a follower of Edward Irving) who had a vision in 1830. However, there are at least three other Pre-Tribulation references prior to Macdonald - in a book published in 1788, in the writings of a Catholic priest Emmanuel Lacunza in 1812, and by John Darby himself in 1827.

The Rapture gained popular interest in wider circles during the 1970s, in part thanks to the books of Hal Lindsey, including The Late Great Planet Earth. Many of Lindsey's predictions in that book, which assumed that the rapture was imminent, were based on world conditions at the time. The Cold War figured prominently in his predictions of Armageddon, and other aspects of 1970s global politics were seen as having been predicted in the Bible. Lindsey believed, for example, that the 10-headed beast cited in Revelation was the European Economic Community, a forebearer of the European Union, which at the time consisted of ten nations.

The doctrine of the Rapture continues to be an important component in Christian eschatology today. Many Christians continue to feel that world conditions point to the Rapture occurring soon. Although this belief is emphasized in the USA, where it is widespread in certain circles, these views continue to find wide resonance around the world not through the study of End-times books, the political events around the world, and the continued spreading of the Christian gospel, and particularly Evangelicalism, to all areas of the Earth.

Varying views

There are three main viewpoints (within the premillennial school) concerning the timing of the Rapture.

Pre-tribulation

A popular view, and the view taught in dispensationalism, is referred to as the Pre- Tribulation Rapture, or simply "Pre-Trib". This is the belief that the Rapture will occur at the beginning of the 70th Week of Daniel, the final seven years of this age. Christian believers will be translated into immortal bodies in the Rapture before the great persecutions by the Antichrist as he comes into his Beast role midway through the final seven years. According to this view, the Christian Church that existed prior to that seven year period has no vital role during the seven years of Tribulation. However, one should keep in mind that the Bible affirms that the Church is made up of individual Christians. If the rapture occurs according to pre-trib doctrine, many others will believe in the Jesus Christ of the Bible and will be saved, despite having missed the "rapture" and will now have to go through that tribulation period with everyone else on the Earth. When those people become new Christians, they will be part of "the Church" on earth during this time period. They will witness during the first three and one half years, and they will also witness during the last three and a half years, or 1260 days of the Great Tribulation, which follow. The pre-trib rapture is sometimes presented as minority opinion among Christians, but it has become popular in recent years around the world and through the work of dispensational preachers such as Tim LaHaye and Hal Lindsey.

Post-tribulation

The other main view is termed the Post Tribulation Rapture (or "Post-Trib"). This view admits the concept of "rapture" from 1 Thessalonians, but does not see an intervening 7-year period (or 3 and half- year period depending on scholar) between the rapture and the "second coming" of Christ. This viewpoint is that Christian believers will be on earth as witnesses to Christ during the entire seven years and right up until the last day of this age. This includes the final three and one half years of the age believed to be the time period of the Antichrist in his malevolent role as the Beast. The post-trib view is supported by Matthew 24:29-31 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days...they shall gather together his elect..." Both views hold that Christian believers will be either removed from, or protected from, the Doomsday judgement when the wrath of God falls and the wicked are carried off at the end of the age.

Both Pre-tribulation Rapture advocates, and post- Tribulation advocates would agree with the following:

  • The tribulation is the period of time when those on Earth who say that they want to live life on the Earth without God, get to actually try to do this - on their own without God. The fact that they were not "raptured" into Heaven to be with God during this time period, means that they chose to stay behind, since they could have voluntarily chosen to believe God and the Bible Prior to the Rapture.
  • Although no one can be sure when the Seven Year period of Tribulation occurs, there are several passages in the Bible (primarily in Daniel, Ezekiel and Revelation) that state specific events numbered down to the actual day - within the seven year period. Therefore after the seven year period of Tribulation has begun, people will be able to understand and predict the various catastrophes coming to the planet by studying an accurate version of the Bible.
  • The Tribulation - the seven year period of Great Difficulty - still can be divided into two time periods:
    • The First three and half years when God is simply absent from the Earth.
    • The Second three and half years when Satan actually rules the planet through his Emissaries. (The Tribulation is the overall seven year period. The "Great" tribulation usually refers to the last 3 and half years of the tribulation)
  • The end of the Seven Year period is marked by the return of those people who were Raptured along with all of those who have gone to Heaven until that point in time. All of those people return under the Guidance of Christ who comes to judge the Earth and its inhabitants for deciding to align themselves with the forces of Satan. (the Bible presents Satan as a fallen archangel, a spiritual being of great and wicked power who deceives the world into following him).

It is called the Great tribulation because the saints of God are beheaded for not worshipping the antichrist. This is also known as the hour of temptation and when the saints are killed. This is also the time that the days are shortened for the elects sake. They will not take his mark therefore they face great tribulation (Revelation 6:9-11, Revelation 20:4). God is not absent from the earth but speaks through them by his spirit while they are in prison that even the gainsayers can't resist. The two witnesses preach for three and one half years and the spirit of God raises them up at Christ's return.

Mid-tribulation

A third view is that believers will remain on Earth for the first half of the Tribulation and will be raptured at the mid-point of the seven-year Tribulation, which is the start of the Great Tribulation. Each of these Tribulation theories has added credibility through various scriptures; however, each has weaknesses that can diminish theory credibility as well. For example, an argument against the Pre-Trib theory exists in Mark 13: 19, 24-26 (NAS) which reads,

“For those days will be a time of tribulation such as has not occurred since the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never wil But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory” ... After that tribulation, Then they will see ...!” Surely this provides substantial footing for those who advocate the mid-trib stance. The words “after” and “then” render the question, “After, or Then what!?” To these questions one must answer, “After the tribulation!” The problem with these assertions is found in verses such as Matthew 24:42 (NAS), “Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming” and Mark 13:33 (NAS), “Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the appointed time is.”

Alternative Rapture Viewpoints

Pre-wrath rapture

The Prewrath Rapture view teaches that at the midpoint of the "7 year period" the "abomination of desolation" will begin the Antichrist's Great Tribulation (this is not God's wrath; rather the object of persecution during this time will be the church, not the ungodly). Then according to Jesus sometime during the Great Tribulation--we do not know the day or hour--it will be cut short (not the 70th week cut short, rather the Great Tribulation which is Antichrist's persecution) with the Coming of Christ to deliver the righteous (rapture) and then the subsequent Day of the Lord's wrath against the ungodly will follow for the remaining 7 year period.

Pre-tribulation rapture already in process

The fourth view is a more recent addition that claims that the Rapture is a three step process according to I Thessalonians 4:13-18. The three steps being the Shout voice trump. The Shout being a message to turn the hearts of the children (last day Christians) to the fathers (Apostolic). Malachi 4:5-6 John the Baptist fulfilled the first part of turning the hearts of the fathers (old covenant) to the children (new covenant)] Therefore, the Rapture has already started and will be completed with the Voice of the Resurrection and the Trumpet which calls them to the feast in the sky also called the wedding supper.

"Secret rapture"

A common interpretation that is quite popular is sometimes referred to as the "secret Rapture". Corinthians says Christians will all be transformed in the twinkling of an eye. Thessalonians says Christians will be caught up. This seems to be quickly, as snatching up is not a slow process. However, when Jesus returned to heaven his followers saw him go up. When Elijah was taken up Elisha saw him go up. Some views posit that there is no scriptural instance of a person vanishing instantly in the past, which is what the "secret Rapture" interpretation teaches; however, in the Old Testament, Enoch was "raptured" by God instantaneously: "And Enoch walked with God: and he (was) not; for God took him" (Genesis 5:24). Nevertheless, the rapture does not necessarily have to have a precursor of the same type to make it possible.

Tradition and the timing of the rapture

Some challenges of the validity of The Rapture are based in the famous "fig tree" parable of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew, specifically Matthew 24:36: "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only". However, it should be noted that Matthew 24:36 does not specifically refer to the Rapture, but rather to that time when Heaven and Earth pass away. This event takes place at the end of the millennial reign of Jesus Christ.

Another biblical reference frequently cited by Rapture theorists, Matthew 24:40-41, does not refer to the Rapture either: "Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left." This parable is repeated Luke 17:35-37: "Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, (literal translation) Wheresoever the (dead) body (fallen in battle) is, there will the vultures be gathered together." This does not refer to the rapture of the church. Jesus answers that these people are taken to a battlefield and are dead and putrefying, having fallen in battle, pointing to an event later in time referred to in Revelation 16:14: "For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

The RaptureThe rapture has been intensely promoted in many Christian churches for the last century. It is the belief that either before during or after the tribulation "Christ" will come back for His faithful church as we have already seen.

The questions we will be addressing in this study are:

  • Will there be a Rapture?
  • Will faithful Christians be caught up to heaven?
  • What is the tribulation period?
  • What does scripture say about this time and what occurs?
  • Who are the faithful and righteous?

Since we learned through the history of the Rapture theory that Christians are taken from the earth by God into heaven, lets look at some of the supporting scripture they use.

Now, brothers, we do not wish you to be ignorant concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you be sad as others who have no expectation. For if we believe that Yahshua died and rose again, so also Elohim shall bring with Him those who sleep in Yahshua. For this we say to you by the word of the Master, that we, the living who are left over at the coming of the Master shall in no way go before those who are asleep. Because the Master Himself shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Elohim, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first. Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught away together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air and so we shall always be with the Master. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17)

Paul tells us that Yahshua will descend from heaven with a shout, and that the dead in the anointed shall rise first, followed by those alive in the anointed. But can we understand this as saying we meet in Heaven?

Therefore Yahshua said to them again, I am going away, and you shall seek Me, and you shall die in your sin. Where I go you are unable to come. (John 8:21)

Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You shall seek Me, and as I said to the Yehudim, Where I am going, you are unable to come, I now also say to you. (John 13:33)

Yahshua says where he goes we cannot follow. Yahshua ascended into heaven to be with the father. So these scriptures are clear we cannot go to heaven. So what does it mean when scripture says we will meet him in the air? Is there just one heaven?

And Elohim said, Let the waters teem with shoals of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth on the face of the expanse of the heavens. (Genesis 1:20)

From this scripture we see that heaven also refers to the sky just above us.

I know a man in Messiah who fourteen years ago whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, Elohim knows such a one was caught up to the third heaven. (2 Corinthians 12:2)

Here we see there are more than one heaven, this scripture refers to three. We can define them as the following:

  1. The first being above the earth, where we see clouds.
  2. The second heaven is where the stars are.
  3. The third heaven is where the most high and the angels abide, which no man has ever seen.

We should also be aware that Paul, in 1 st Thessalonians says that the dead in the anointed shall rise first. If the dead followers of YAH went to heaven immediately upon death as some would say, why would they have to be raised here? Does scripture support anyone, dead or living ever going to heaven?

For the living know that they shall die, but the dead know naught, nor do they have any more reward, for their remembrance is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy have now perished; and they no longer have a share in all that is done under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 9:5-6)

All that your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or planning or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going. (Ecclesiastes 9:10)

We have read Solomon's witness now lets look at others.

The cloud fades and vanishes away, so he who goes down to the grave does not come up. He returns no more to his house, nor does his place know him any more. (Job 7:9-10)

This scripture answers a lot of questions, so much for ghosts or people walking about as spirits.

Remember, please, that You have made me like clay. And would You turn me into dust again? (Job 10:9)

The final destination of all mankind is dust. As we move forward you will see the order of things is Death, Dust, Resurrection then judgment.

and man shall lie down and not rise. Till the heavens are no more, they awake not, nor are aroused from their sleep. (Job 14:12)

Man lies down when he dies until the heavens be no more. Lets see when this occurs.

And I saw a great white throne and Him who was sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled awayand no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before the throne, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged from what was written in the books, according to their works. (Revelation 20:11-12)

It was not just Job who spoke of death, dust, resurrection and judgment, but so did David in Psalms, Isaiah, Solomon, Yahshua, Paul, and others. There are many religious bodies such as Christendom and Judaism that teach a very different theology than what scripture dictates. This type of false teaching has led to doctrines such as the Rapture, Reincarnation, wandering spirits, and many other foolish ideas.

There are two accounts in scripture that many use as proof of there heaven theology. These accounts are about Enoch and Elijah, as well as the incident on the mount of transfiguration. Lets look at the scripture for these accounts.
And Hanok (Enoch) lived sixty-five years, and brought forth Methushelah. And after he brought forth Methushelah, Hanok walked with Elohim three hundred years, and brought forth sons and daughters. So all the days of Hanok were three hundred and sixty-five years. And Hanok walked with Elohim. Then he was no more, for Elohim took him. (Genesis 5:21-24)

Took here means to, take, get, fetch, and carry away. So where did Elohim take Enoch? many obviously believe it was heaven, but is this true?

By belief, Hanok (Enoch) was translated so as not to see death, and was not found because Elohim had translated him. For before his translation he obtained witness, that he pleased Elohim. (Hebrews 11:5)

Ok now were told Enoch was translated, which means to change from one function or state to another. So Paul was actually saying Enoch was changed from one state to another, that he should not see death. Does this mean he didn't die? Lets look at another scripture to see an example of someone else being translated.

But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a post of salt. (Genesis 19:26)

Here is a incident that occurred where someone was translated into a pillar of salt. Can we assume she was dead? I think so. We see that the instant she looked back, she died.

Is it possible this is what happened to Enoch, that he simply died, that he was translated from a living person to a dead person in a single moment? Remember what YAH said to Adam, the first man he created.
By the sweat of your face you are to eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are, and to dust you return. (Genesis 3:19)

The declaration, Promise made to Adam was he would return to dust, as it would apply to all men. Enoch a descendant of Adam was translated to dust, probably just as YAH took Moses into the mountain and translated him from living to dead. Paul said in Hebrews 9:27:

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment

Lets see what scripture says about Elijah.

And they said to him, Look, there are fifty strong men with your servants. Please let them go and search for your master, lest the Spirit of YAH has taken him up and cast him upon some mountain or into some valley. And he said, Send no one. But they pressed upon him till he was ashamed, and he said, Send. So they sent fifty men, and they searched for three days but did not find him. And they returned to him, for he remained in Yeriho, and he said to them, Did I not say to you, Do not go? (2 Kings 2:16-18)

The first thing we have to ask is why would the sons of the prophets search for Elijah's body if they believed that it had been taken into heaven? This verse and the preceding ones showed us that the sons of the prophets were preparing Elisha for Elijah's departure and they knew the day he would be taken by YAH. But they didn't know where, because Elijah died as a Holy man of YAH and was taken by Him to be buried, this was one of the reasons why the prophets wanted to search for the body. We can also see that YAH made his prophets aware that Elijah was going to be taken, but yet none of the prophets expected that he would be taken off the earth. The concept of rapture is not of Hebrew origin, and they had no concept of such action because it is not the natural course of man, nor a promise from YAH!

Lets look at the account of Moses whose body was never found by his people.
And YAH said to him, This is the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Yitshaq, and to Yaaqob, saying, To your seed I give it. I have let you look at it with your eyes, but you do not pass over there. And Mosheh the servant of YAH died there in the land of Moab, according to the mouth of YAH. And He buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beyth Peor, and no one knows his burial place to this day. (Deuteronomy 34:4-6)

As mentioned earlier, we see in the scriptures Moses body was taken and buried by YAH. Although no man ever found his body, we know he did not go to heaven but was simply buried. Elijah was taken and simply buried also, in the same manor. Lets look at the vision on the mount of transfiguration.

And after six days Yahshua took Kepha, and Yaaqob, and Yohanan his brother, and brought them up on a high mountain by themselves, and He was transformed before them, and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as the light. And see, Mosheh and Eliyahu appeared to them, talking with Him. (Matthew 17:1-3)

This is where many talk about Moses and Elijah, and their appearance before Yahshua, but scripture clearly stated that no man has ascended into heaven prior to Yahshua, so where did Moses and Elijah come from? or were they spirits? No! The bible says that all who are born of man are men (flesh) not spirits.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (John 3:6)

Man has the breath in his nostrils which is a spirit TYPE called the "Neshmat" or "the breath of life" given to Adam from YAH, and passed down to every man so that he may live, accompanied by a conscience, which is also stated as a type of spirit in the scriptures, lets side track for a moment to look at this more closely:

And YAH Elohim formed the man out of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils breath of life. And the man became a living being. (Genesis 2:7)

People commonly speak of a spirit as an entity, which is separate from the body it abides in. This Theo- metaphysical point of view is not scriptural, but paganistic. Man is created from the dust of the earth with oxygen breathed into his lungs to vitalize his organs in order to produce breath, a systematic rhythm flow of oxygen produced by organs carried throughout the body by the blood so that life can be sustained, this is one of the two forms of spirit that gives man life.

In addition the conscience of man, which determines right and wrong is a spirit type, an intangible created to govern man in the protocols of righteousness. If YAH created man and gave him breath to live, then what gives him the mind to determine right and wrong? The oxygen is carried through the blood so that man may live in order to serve YAH according to his dictates and commandments through a conscience state of mind and being. Now we will let scriptures validate these points.
for it is the life of all flesh. Its blood is for its life. And I said to the children of Yisrael, Do not eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood. Anyone eating it is cut off. (Leviticus 17:14)

If He sets His heart on him, should He gather to Himself his spirit and his breath, all flesh would expire together and man return to dust. (Job 34:14-15)
and Elohim said to Noah, The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them. And see, I am going to destroy them from the earth. (Genesis 6:13)
And all flesh died that moved on the earth birds and cattle and beasts and every creeping creature that creeps on the earth, and all mankind. All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, all that was on the dry land, died. (Genesis 7:21-22)

Job said spirit and breath would be gathered (taken). Here the breath is taken and the conscience.

For when gentiles, who do not have the Torah, by nature do what is in the Torah, although not having the Torah, they are a Torah to themselves, who show the work of the Torah written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or even excusing, (Romans 2:14-15)
speaking lies in hypocrisy, having been branded on their own conscience, (1 Timothy 4:2)

Man was given a conscience, which in Hebrew is called Ruach meaning spirit, an intangible driving force behind decisions and judgments of what's right and wrong, and righteous and unrighteous, as Paul says "IT" bears witness to us. Both the breath of life and a conscience were given to us at birth so that we may first Live, and secondly walk in a Godly state of mind governed by the conscience. Let's get back to Elijah and Moses making a grand entrance, when the scriptures say they were supposed to be dead.

And as they were coming down from the mountain, Yahshua commanded them, saying, Do not mention the vision to anyone until the Son of Adam is raised from the dead. (Matthew 17:9)

We see this was a vision, not an actually material or literal event. Lets look at this event in the Gospel of Mark.

And He said to them, Truly, I say to you that there are some standing here who shall not taste of death at all until they see the reign of Elohim having come in power: And after six days Yahshua took Kepha, and Yaaqob, and Yohanan, and led them up on a high mountain alone by themselves. And He was transformed before them. And His garments became glittering, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth is able to whiten. And there appeared to them Eliyahu with Mosheh, and they were talking with Yahshua. (Mark 9:1-4)

Yahshua was speaking to the twelve apostles, and he said some of them, not all, would see a glimpse of the kingdom. Who saw what the kingdom would look like? And after six days Yahshua taketh with him Kepha, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into a high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. This was the fulfillment of Yahshua's prophecy. YAH has and will continue to speak to his prophets and show them things to come through dreams and visions:

After these events the word of YAH came to Abram in a vision, saying, Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your reward is exceedingly great. (Genesis 15:1)

And He said, Hear now My words: If your prophet is of YAH, I make Myself known to him in a vision, and I speak to him in a dream. (Numbers 12:6)
Then You spoke in a vision to Your kind one, And You said, I have given help to one who is mighty, I have exalted one chosen from the people. (Psalms 89:19)
The vision of Yeshayahu son of Amots, which he saw concerning Yehudah and Yerushalayim in the days of Uzziyahu, Yotham, Ahaz, Hizqiyahu sovereigns of Yehudah. (Isaiah 1:1)
The Revelation (Vision) of Yahshua Messiah, which Elohim gave Him to show His servants what has to take place with speed. And He signified it by sending His messenger to His servant Yohanan, (Revelation 1:1)

Thus far we have determined that although the Rapture doctrine, says that those who are caught up will be taken to heaven, scripture tells us a different story; that no man has ascended.

Now that we can see that no man will ascend into heaven, lets take another look at 1 Thessalonians.
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

Here scripture is teaching that Yahshua was prophesied to return in like manner, the same way he left he would return. The dead shall rise first then we that remain will meet him in the air (sky) to be with him always on earth. Yahshua was returning to earth not just coming for a visit!

And having said this, while they were looking on, He was taken up, and a cloud hid Him from their sight. And as they were gazing into the heaven as He went up, see, two men stood by them dressed in white, who also said, Men of Galil, why do you stand looking up into the heaven? This same Yahshua, who was taken up from you into the heaven, shall come in the same way as you saw Him go into the heaven. Then they went back to Yerushalayim from the Mount of Olives, which is near Yerushalayim, a Sabbath days journey. (Acts 1:9-12)

The Messiah ascended to heaven from the Mount of Olives, and as we will confirm in the next scripture, he will return to the Mount of Olives. The Mount of Olives is on earth! The Messiah is not returning halfway to earth to snatch up a bunch of people and then return with them to heaven! If, as many would have you believe, the Messiah were returning halfway to earth to rapture believers, it would mean that there would have to be a THIRD advent, one for his birth, two for the rapture of believers and three for war. The event spoken of in 1st Thessalonians is Yahshua's second return or advent, at the end of the Tribulation period, which marks two advents not three. Scripture does not support a third advent.

See, a day shall come for YAH, and your spoil shall be divided in your midst. And I shall gather all the gentiles to battle against Yerushalayim. And the city shall be taken, the houses plundered, and the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into exile, but the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city. And YAH shall go forth, and He shall fight against those gentiles, as He fights in the day of battle. And in that day His feet shall stand upon the Mount of Olives, which faces Yerushalayim on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, a very great valley, and half of the mountain shall move toward the north and half of it toward the south. (Zechariah 14:1-4)
See, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye shall see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth shall mourn because of Him. Yes, Amen. (Revelation 1:7)
And immediately after the distress of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Adam shall appear in the heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Adam coming on the clouds of the heaven with power and much esteem. And He shall send His messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. (Matthew 24:29-31)

Now that we have confirmed that Yahshua will be returning to the earth, it is apparent that those who are caught up with him in the air will be returning to the earth with Yahshua as well.

Christianity teaches that only saved Christians will rise to meet the Messiah. Paul, in First Thessalonians, however, says that the dead in the Anointed (or the dead in Christ) shall rise first. Do they both mean the same thing? What does it mean to be in the Anointed or righteous? We detail this in the last section.

Daniel

The secular source we used to show the history and theories of the Rapture says that there are multiple schools of thought regarding the Tribulation, one which says that believers will be raptured prior to the Tribulation; another point of view believes that the Rapture will occur at mid point; and another after a 7-year Tribulation, but can these beliefs be supported by scripture? Since our secular source has referenced Daniel in referring to Daniel's 70th Week as the seven-year Tribulation period, lets take a look at this to see what it says.

Seventy Weeks of Daniel
Seventy weeks are decreed for your people and for your set-apart city, to put an end to the transgression, and to seal up sins, and to cover crookedness, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophet, and to anoint the Most Set-apart. (Daniel 9:24)
After the sixty-two weeks the Anointed One shall be cut off, and shall have nothing: and the people of the prince who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end of it shall be with a flood, and even to the end shall be war; desolations are determined. He shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease; and on the wing of abominations [shall come] one who makes desolate; and even to the full end, and that determined, shall [wrath] be poured out on the desolate. (Daniel 9:26-27 RNWEB)

The Vision Daniel received tells us that he shall confirm a covenant for one week. From are rapture history we see this is equated with 7 year tribulation. So how does one week equal seven years?

One Day Equals One Year

The following are some examples of a day representing a year:

  1. "A day for each year" in the account of the ten spies coming back with a bad report to Moses about the promised land after spying it out for 40 days:And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcasses be wasted in the wilderness. After the number of the days in which you searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years..." (Numbers 14:33,34)
  2. Ezekiel is told to lie on his side 390 plus 40 days -- - "a day for each year:"
"Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity. For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel. And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year" (Ezekiel 4:4-6).
  3. The Law of Moses commands that the 7th day be a day of rest, and that likewise the 7th year be a year of rest, (Ex. 20:8-11; 23:10-11). This lays a pattern for the very important prophecy of Daniel's seventy weeks.

We can see how one week is equated to 7 years in scripture. So in Daniel's vision, Yahshua is going to confirm the covenant with many for one week, which our above rapture history reference uses to justify a 7-year Tribulation period. However, Daniel goes on to say that in the midst of the week he (Yahshua) shall cause the slaugtering and the meal offering to cease. What does this mean?

The Sacrifices and oblations (Meal offerings). were a part of the old covenant, or a part of the Levitical order. However, upon Yahshua's death, after his 3 1/2 year ministry, we can see in Matthew 27:51 that the veil of the temple was rent in two, from the top to the bottom. The veil represented the separation of the inner court of the temple from the holy of holies, where the Levitical priests performed the sacrifices and oblations. Yahshua, upon his death, caused the sacrifice and the oblation to cease.

Yahshua fulfilled half of the one week; half of the seven years. He fulfilled 3 1/2 years. There is still 3 1/2 years to be fulfilled, not 7 years. Do the scriptures speak of a seven-year Tribulation period, or do they instead speak of a three-and-a-half year Tribulation period? Lets look to the scriptures.

YAH is a jealous and revenging El, YAH is a revenger and a possessor of wrath. YAH takes vengeance on His adversaries, and He watches for His enemies. YAH is patient and great in power, but by no means leaves unpunished. YAH has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet. (Nahum 1:2-3)
YAH is good, as a stronghold in the day of distress. And He knows those who take refuge in Him. But with an overwhelming flood He makes a complete end of the place of Ninewh, and darkness does pursue His enemies. (Nahum 1:7-8)

YAH is a jealous Elohim and cannot condone sin, and will take vengeance on his enemies. What could cause YAH to take his vengeance out on the inhabitants of the earth?

See, YAH is making the earth empty and making it waste, and shall overturn its surface, and shall scatter abroad its inhabitants. And it shall be as with the people so with the priest, as with the servant so with his master, as with the female servant so with her mistress, as with the buyer so with the seller, as with the lender so with the borrower, as with the creditor so with the debtor; the earth is completely emptied and utterly plundered, for YAH has spoken this word. The earth shall mourn and wither, the world shall languish and wither, the haughty people of the earth shall languish. (Isaiah 24:1-4)

This scripture speaks of the earth being made desolate in the latter days, the inhabitants scattered, the land emptied. What would cause YAH's judgment to come upon the inhabitants of the earth in such a harsh way? Lets continue to read.

For the earth has been defiled under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the Torot, changed the law, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore a curse shall consume the earth, and those who dwell in it be punished. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth shall be burned, and few men shall be left. (Isaiah 24:5-6)

The earth has been defiled because the people have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance and broken the everlasting covenant!

Come near, you gentiles, to hear. And listen, you people! Let the earth hear, and all that is in it, the world and all its offspring. For the displeasure of YAH is against all the gentiles, and His wrath against all their divisions. He shall put them under the ban, He shall give them over to the slaughter, (Isaiah 34:1-2)

For it is the day of the vengeance of YAH, the year of recompense for the cause of Tsiyon. (Isaiah 34:8)

The Tribulation is a time in which ALL the people of the earth will be witnesses to YAH's wrath, his righteous anger, due to the trespasses the nations have committed against his set-apart laws. The most popular Rapture doctrine teaches that Christians will be saved from the Tribulation period by being taken to heaven to wait out YAH's wrath. Our above scripture references tell us that YAH's wrath will be upon all nations. So does this mean that all the inhabitants of the earth must endure the Tribulation?

For the day of YAH is near upon all the gentiles. As you have done, it shall be done to you, your reward shall come back on your own head. For as you have drunk on my set-apart mountain, so do all the gentiles drink continually. And they shall drink and shall swallow, and they shall be as though they had never been. (Obadiah 1:15-16)

After this I looked and saw a great crowd which no one was able to count, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, and palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, Deliverance belongs to our Elohim who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb! And all the messengers stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshipped Elohim, saying, Amen! The blessing, and the esteem, and the wisdom, and the thanksgiving, and the respect, and the power, and the might, to our Elohim forever and ever. Amen. And one of the elders responded, saying to me, Who are these dressed in white robes, and where did they come from? And I said to him, Master, you know. And he said to me, These are those coming out of the great distress, having washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (Revelation 7:9-14)

Here we read that ALL NATIONS, KINDREDS, PEOPLE and TONGUES have endured the great tribulation! We don't see anywhere in the Scriptures that Christians are to be snatched out of it. What we do see is that a great multitude of people will come out of the tribulation that have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb, in other words, have been purified in the name of Yahshua the Anointed.

So we see that the day of YAH (the Tribulation) will be visited upon all people and the scriptures do not support the Rapture doctrine, that Christians will not be here. Lets see if the scripture shows anyone being protected from it.

For look, the days are coming, declares YAH, when I shall turn back the captivity of My people Yisrael and Yehudah, declares YAH, and I shall bring them back to the land that I gave to their fathers, and let them possess it. Oh! For great is that day, there is none like it. And it is the time of Yaaqobs distress, but he shall be saved out of it. And it shall be in that day, declares YAH of hosts, that I break his yoke from your neck, and tear off your bonds, and foreigners no more enslave them. (Jeremiah 30:3,7-8)

The word that came to Jeremiah states that Israel and Judah shall be saved out of the day of YAH's vengeance!

And you, do not fear, O Yaaqob My servant, declares YAH, nor be discouraged, O Yisrael. For look, I am saving you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity. And Yaaqob shall return, and have rest and be at ease, with no one to trouble him. (Jeremiah 30:10)

This further confirms that Israel will be kept safe during the Tribulation. Lets look at how Israel will be kept safe, and where they will go.

As I live, declares the Master YAH, do not I, with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, reign over you? And I shall bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the lands where you are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out. And I shall bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and shall enter into judgment with you face to face there. (Ezekiel 20:33-35)

And she bore a male child who was to shepherd all nations with a rod of iron. And her child was caught away to Elohim and to His throne. And the woman (Israel) fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by Elohim, to be nourished there one thousand two hundred and sixty days. (Revelation 12:5-6)

And when the dragon saw that he had been thrown to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child. And the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, to fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. (Revelation 12:13-14)

Israel will be saved out of the Tribulation by being carried away, into the wilderness for 3 1/2 years. This is exactly what YAH did when he delivered his people out of Egyptian bondage and carried them into the wilderness.

Christian doctrine has taught using 1st Thessalonians 4:17, that they will be saved out of the Tribulation period by being carried off to heaven so that they will not have to endure the great and terrible day of YAH's vengeance. However we have shown this is not the case, lets review:

  1. No one will be carried off to heaven because no one was promised to go to heaven.
  2. Those who have been purified (baptized) in the name of Yahshua will meet Him in the air, but they will return with him to earth, not heaven.
  3. YAH's vengeance is upon ALL the inhabitants of the earth because of the nations grievous transgressions.
  4. Israel (ethnic and spiritual) will be the only nation that will be kept safe during the 3 1/2 year Tribulation period; All other nations will have to suffer through this terrible time.

Once again, Christianity has tried to replace themselves with YAH's people, the Hebrew Israelites, natural and spiritual, but we have proven that this doctrine, called "replacement theology", is unfounded scripturally. It is not Christians who will be saved from the day of destruction; it will be Israel (natural and spiritual) who will be saved out of it which Paul speaks of in Romans 11:

For I speak to you, the gentiles, inasmuch as I am an emissary to the gentiles, I esteem my service, if somehow I might provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and save some of them. For if their casting away is the restoration to favour of the world, what is their acceptance but life from the dead? Now if the first-fruit is set-apart, the lump is also. And if the root is set-apart, so are the branches. And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, have been grafted in among them, and came to share the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. And if you boast, remember: you do not bear the root, but the root bears you! You shall say then, “The branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.” Good! By unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by belief. Do not be arrogant, but fear. For if Elohim did not spare the natural branches, He might not spare you either. (Romans 11:13-21)

So what will happen to the earth when the Tribulation period is over? Since we have shown that no one will ascend to heaven, it is quite obvious that the earth will be populated.

And Elohim looked upon the earth and saw that it was corrupt for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth and Elohim said to Noah?, The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them. And see, I am going to destroy them from the earth. (Genesis 6:12-13)

YAH tells Noah that he will destroy all flesh with the earth; But when YAH executed his vengeance upon the land with the flood He did not destroy the earth.

For thus said YAH, Creator of the heavens, He is Elohim, Former of earth and its Maker, He established it, He did not create it to be empty, He formed it to be inhabited: I am YAH, and there is none else. (Isaiah 45:18)

YAH created the earth in order for it to be inhabited. This is why he did not destroy the earth when he pronounced judgment upon the land during Noah's time, but destroyed all flesh within in it. The earth was not meant to be destroyed because it is to be the dwelling place for mankind.

Then Kepha answering, said to Him, See, we have left all and followed You. What then shall we have? And YAH said to them, Truly I say to you, when the Son of Adam sits on the throne of His esteem, you who have followed Me in the rebirth, shall also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Yisrael. (Matthew 19:27-28)

Since we have confirmed that there will not be anyone ascending to, and dwelling in heaven. We know the disciples will be sitting on their thrones and judging the twelve tribes of Israel on earth.

Listen to Me, My people, and give ear to Me, O My nation, for the Torah goes forth from Me, and My right-ruling I set as a light to peoples. Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath, for the heavens shall vanish like smoke, and the earth wear out like a garment, and those who dwell in it die as gnats. But My deliverance is forever, and My righteousness is not broken. (Isaiah 51:4,6)

YAH is saying that the earth will grow old, like a garment; however, he also says that his salvation shall be forever. If the earth shall wax old like a garment, how can it be inhabited?

For look, I am creating new heavens and a new earth, and the former shall not be remembered, nor come to heart. (Isaiah 65:17)

And they shall build houses and inhabit them
, and plant vineyards and eat their fruit. (Isaiah 65:21)
For as the new heavens and the new earth that I make stand before Me, declares YAH, so your seed and your name shall stand. (Isaiah 66:22)
But according to His promise we wait for a renewed heavens and a renewed earth in which righteousness dwells. (2 Peter 3:13)
And I saw a renewed heaven and a renewed earth, for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. And I, Yohanan, saw the set-apart city, renewed Yerushalayim, coming down out of the heaven from Elohim, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. (Revelation 21:1-2)

YAH is going to create a new earth, one that will replace the one that has waxon old, like a garment.

Praise YAH!

Who Are Anointed and Righteous?

In The Anointed

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Kepha and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? (Acts 2:37)

This question is being asked after Kepha (Peter) gives his sermon, right after the Holy Spirit fell upon the apostles on the Day of Pentecost. They are asking what must be done in order to receive eternal life.

Then Kepha said unto them, REPENT, AND BE BAPTIZED EVERY ONE OF YOU IN THE NAME OF YAHSHUA FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS, AND YE SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. (Acts 2:38)

And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Yahshua the Anointed. WHEN THEY HEARD THIS, THEY WERE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF YAHSHUA. (Acts 19:3-5)
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Yahshua the Anointed of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom Elohim raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. Neither is there salvation in any other: FOR THERE IS NONE OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN GIVEN AMONG MEN WHEREBY WE MUST BE SAVED. (Acts 4:10,12)

You must repent and be baptized (purified) in the name of Yahshua the Anointed, not in any other name! So, those who have died “in the Anointed” are those who have repented and been purified in the name of Yahshua the Anointed. It is these who have died “in the Anointed” who shall rise first, to meet Yahshua in the air and then, as we have confirmed, will return with Yahshua to the earth.

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, AND THE DEAD SHALL BE RAISED INCORRUPTIBLE, AND WE SHALL BE CHANGED. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. (1 Corinthians 15:51-54)

Paul confirms for us here that in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, those who are still alive in the Anointed when Yahshua returns shall be changed, from the incorruptible flesh of man to immortality. This is why he says "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?"

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Yahshua, and for the word of Elohim, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with the Messiah a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. (Revelation 20:4-5)

The Righteous, Those who serve YAH

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of YAH abideth on him. (Joh 3:36)

Well it seems pretty simple, just believe and you will receive everlasting life! But lets look at what it means to believe.

Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? (Joh 5:45-47)

Yahshua is telling the Scribes and Pharisees that if they had believed Moses, then they would recognize him as the Messiah. Now, we know they believed that Moses wrote what he wrote. But was it understood and properly practiced in their lives. It appears there is more to believing then to just acknowledge someone exists.

So also belief, if it does not have works, is in itself dead. But someone might say, “You have belief, and I have works.” Show me your belief without your works, and I shall show you my belief by my works. You believe that Elohim is one. You do well. The demons also believe – and shudder! But do you wish to know, O foolish man, that the belief without the works is dead? (James 2:17-20)

We see here that someone that is serving YAH does believe, but the evidence that shows that they do, is their works. Works is defined as - activity in which one exerts strength or faculties to do or perform something. Now, lets see what works are being spoken about, continuing in James 2:

Was not Abraham our father declared right by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that the belief was working with his works, and by the works the belief was perfected? And the Scripture was filled which says, “Abraham believed Elohim, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.” And he was called, “Elohim’s friend.” You see, then, that a man is declared right by works, and not by belief alone. (James 2:21-24)

Obedience to YAH's word is works. Abraham was willing to give up his son, what are you willing to do to walk in obedience? YAH expects us to give up our own will and conform to His will. He wants us to love him and love others.

Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Rabbi, which is the great commandment in the law? Yahshua said unto him, Thou shalt love YAH thy Elohim with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (Matthew 22:35- 40)

So, if we just love him and love our neighbors that's all we need to know? Yes as long as you understand and have been instructed in how to love YAH and your neighbor. The Torah and the 10 Commandments were given to us to provide instruction on how we can live an obedient life and serve YAH.

Lets take a moment and review the Commandments:
‘You have no other mighty ones against My face. ‘You do not make for yourself a carved image, any likeness of which is in the heavens above, or which is in the earth beneath, or which is in the waters under the earth, you do not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, YAH your Elohim, am a jealous Elohim, visiting the crookedness of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing kindness to thousands, to those who love Me and guard My commands. ‘You do not bring the Name of YAH your Elohim to naught, for YAH does not leave him unpunished who brings His Name to naught. ‘Guard the Sabbath day, to set it apart, as YAH your Elohim commanded you. ‘Six days you labour, and shall do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of YAH your Elohim. You do not do any work – you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates, so that your male servant and your female servant rest as you do. ‘And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Mitsrayim, and that YAH your Elohim brought you out from there by a strong hand and by an outstretched arm. Therefore YAH your Elohim commanded you to observe the Sabbath day. ‘Respect your father and your mother, as YAH your Elohim has commanded you, so that your days are prolonged, and so that it is well with you on the soil which YAH your Elohim is giving you. ‘You do not murder. ‘You do not commit adultery. ‘You do not steal. ‘You do not bear false witness against your neighbour. ‘You do not covet your neighbour’s wife, nor do you desire your neighbour’s house, his field, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, his ox, nor his donkey, or whatever belongs to your neighbour.’ (Deuteronomy 5:7-21)

Notice the first four deal with loving YAH, while the last six apply to loving our neighbors. Yahshua the anointed often emphasized these commandments in His teachings because they were often ignored by the religious leaders of His day.

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you tithe the mint and the anise and the cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the Torah: the right-ruling and the compassion and the belief. These need to have been done, without neglecting the others. (Matthew 23:23)

Yahshua makes a clear statement "These need to have been done". Today, the majority of Christians ignore the first four commandments, Many make and bow to idols (Crosses, Statues, Pictures, etc..), a large majority in Christendom are taking His name in vain without realizing it, and are not keeping the Sabbath. Sadly the Sabbath has either been changed or ignored. Most people seem to only be concerned with loving their neighbor, but it is just as important, if not more important for us to show are love for YAH! Part of loving YAH is worshipping Him in the way He desires us to. This requires us to follow Torah, the instructions he provided for us to live righteously and set-apart (holy) before Him. He wants us to keep all Sabbath days, His appointed times (Feasts, convocations) and honor him with our obedience.

The Torah (Law) is not a heavy burden. Understanding how YAH wants us to serve and love him brings liberty [being free from oppression or imprisonment]. We cannot serve Him with things that seem right in our own eyes, but we need to Honor Him by doing things that are right in His eyes.
The Torah of YAH is perfect, bringing back the being; The witness of YAH is trustworthy, making wise the simple; (Psa 19:7)
For this is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy, (1Jo 5:3)
If you love Me, you shall guard My commands. “And I shall ask the Father, and He shall give you another Helper, to stay with you forever – the Spirit of the Truth, whom the world is unable to receive, because it does not see Him or know Him. But you know Him, for He stays with you and shall be in you. (Joh 14:15- 17)
But why do you call Me ‘Master, Master,’ and do not do what I say? “Everyone who is coming to Me, and is hearing My words and is doing them, I shall show you whom he is like: “He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock. And when a flood came, the stream burst against that house, but was unable to shake it, for it was founded on the rock. “But the one hearing and not doing, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream burst, and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.” (Luk 6:46-49)

The one who built His house on a rock was obedient to YAH's word as His foundation. The one who built his house on the sand only acknowledged His words and did not act on them.

Lets go deeper, there is more than just knowing and keeping the commandments. There are many doing these but all in pretense (inadequate or insincere attempt). Someone who loves YAH and his neighbor will show this love in their personality and the overall spirit about them. If we have truly become part of YAH we will have been implanted with His seed, and the fruit (characteristics) of that seed should be evident in our lives. Lets look at what characteristics we should be displaying as YAH's people:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustworthiness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no Torah. And those who are of Messiah have impaled the flesh with its passions and the desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (Gal 5:22- 25)

This is the heart of YAH's Torah and Commandments. If we are walking in the Love of YAH, which is expressed in the spirit and truth of Torah, the fruit of the spirit would be evident in our lives and we would be living and walking in the spirit. The true disciple (follower) would not transgress Torah, because they would despise any act that was contrary to YAH's will.

Those who have died in the Anointed and walk righteously, and who have been baptized (purified) in Yahshua’s name are those who will take part in the first resurrection; they will receive a new incorruptible body.

Closing Comments

There is no RAPTURE! More importantly, since there is no rapture are you ready for the upcoming 3 1/2 years known as the tribulation period? Are you in the anointed walking righteously? This certainly is not a game, its important we understand YAH's word and walk in it, and hold the testimony of Yahshua the anointed.

Scriptures warn of many false prophets and teachers going out into the world. We are in a time that is very close to the end and there are many following the doctrine of devils. These are teachings that sound good and the superficial evidence provided in scripture is enough to grab those who are unlearned. They place there trust in what these self proclaimed "Men of God" teach, forgoing any discernment because they believe, "with so many followers" how can they be wrong!

The beliefs of the majority do not make something right or wrong. We were created with are own mind and the ability to reason and study. We should not be so quick to give this up, to be with the in crowd (Christianity). The only true guidance is Torah, Yah's word, No Other!

The man made religion may superficially look like the real seed, but its fruit is very different. This religious body, for the most part is lawless and defiled before YAH.

For there shall be a time when they shall not bear sound teaching, but according to their own desires, they shall heap up for themselves teachers tickling the ear, and they shall indeed turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to myths. (2 Timothy 4:3-4)
Not everyone who says to Me, Master, Master, shall enter into the reign of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire of My Father in the heavens. Many shall say to Me in that day, Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name? And then I shall declare to them, I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness! (Violate Torah) (Matthew 7:21- 23)

What we see occurring today is an interpretation of scripture which is the very opposite of what was being taught by Yahshua and the Apostles. Christendom has adopted Greek thought and Gnostic rituals becoming completely lawless. The scriptures have been sanitized from their original cultural roots to further support the new Greek philosophies. The laws and ordinances of YAH have been wiped out, the old testament has become for then and not for now! The problem escalates further in that those who partake in Christendom have no idea what has occurred.

    Deuteronomy 13:1-3
If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other elohim, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; THOU SHALT NOT HEARKEN UNTO THE WORDS OF THAT PROPHET, OR THAT DREAMER OF DREAMS: FOR YAH YOUR ELOHIM PROVETH (TEST) YOU, TO KNOW WHETHER YE LOVE YAH YOUR ELOHIM WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL.1 John 4:1

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of Elohim: BECAUSE MANY FALSE PROPHETS ARE GONE OUT INTO THE WORLD.1Timothy 4:1

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils

    Matthew 24:4-5
And Yahshua answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

    Matt 7:15
Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep, but are really wolves that will tear you apart.

    Matt 24:24
For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great miraculous signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even Elohim's chosen ones.

    Acts 20:30

Even some of you WILL DISTORT THE TRUTH in order to draw a following.

    Eph 5:6

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

    2 Corinthians 2:19-20

After all, you, WHO THINK YOU ARE WISE, ENJOY LISTENING TO FOOLS! You put up with it when they make you their slaves (mindless followers), take everything you have (tithes and offerings), take advantage of you, put on airs, and slap you in the face.

    2 Corinthians 11:13-15

These people are false apostles. THEY HAVE FOOLED YOU BY DISGUISING THEMSELVES AS APOSTLES OF THE MESSIAH. But I am not surprised! Even Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light. So it is no wonder his servants can also do it by pretending to be godly ministers. In the end they will get every bit of punishment their wicked deeds deserve.
